I see many guys on immitracker with similar timelines who have all got PPRs.Thats starting to scare me a little.
Anyways,thanks a ton for your help.

Mine situation was same as yours and I did the same after @tobs @JenineJac advise and got my PPR very next working day after sending an email to NDVO

If your security is pending from long do order CBSA which will help you to understand the exact update of your profile, sometimes you order CBSA and you get PPR after that, this is what happened with me. Wish you luck

@richa1987 shared the same experience too! In that case, I give up! We’re just in a random patch of bad luck - which will end in 2019, and a good thing the year of our good fortune has already begun

In fact I have heard the same thing from few other. So I guess its just random pick depending on your luck... We do not have any insight on how the workflow is handled so no point overthinking.
We just plan to call once and mail CPC Ottawa (where our file is stuck at) once between this and next week to see if there is any progress.

I received an email with my landing interview date on December 27th ( I waited almost 7 months...So don't worry, you all are going to get the golden email soon)

Since I hired a company to take care of my immigration process I don't know all the dates of my timeline. This is the info that I have:

AOR 06/04
PNP-inland via Express Entry
VO Sidney
GCMS notes requested on Dec 6th
Landing interview on Jan 16th

can you please advise how the process is going on now? the applicants do NOt receive PPR? and we don't need to send passports for visas and do landing if we are inland applicants? do you receive invitation for landing interview through email or mail??

I raised CSE today, and received following response in around 3 hr -

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and are pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with your application.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

I emailed local VO and got a reply in 5 mins to raise a CSE instead of emailing (unlike the NDVO in recent times)..
I had raised a CSE 2 weeks ago and got the reply you have got. On my yesterday's CSE, I got the reply :

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that we will communicate with you once a decision is taken."

My background check is in progress since the update on Oct 16 and I did not get any ghost update too.

So still in process after 6.5 months, don't know why it is taking so long....

Can we really email a VO by ourselves even if we applied through a consultant? Because my husband and I tried to raise a CSE and received a reply from IRCC saying that they cannot accept any communication from us as our email is not on file, thus we asked our consultant to raise the CSE. Are you saying that raising a CSE vs. emailing a VO is different and we can personally email a VO, dont have to go through our consultant?

Yes you can mail a VO directly. My agent did yesterday after I went and sat on his head. I mailed to both NDVO as well as Sydney Nova Scotia

Email NDVO. if your application is approved...they will process it...if not...you will have to wait like us.

Don't bother looking at the tracker. Mine passed 6 months on 17 Dec. it now says my application is in 20%.

You can know about the visa office by calling CIC, Raising a web case specific enquiry or ordering a GCMS.

I would suggest you call and confirm if your file is approved. If it is send an email to NDVO.

Can i just call NDVO regarding status of my application... I have seen in earlier threads that people have to wait for 40-45 minutes in queue while calling CIC....n sometime agents give vague reply....i mean people at NDVO will not get offended right?? Just a thought..

No ghost update has nothing to do with CSE. So this ghost update is an indication of progress on your file or may be approval.
