Hehehehe...I think we all are (both in the sense of being addicted to this thread, and advised by those who care about us - my husband in this case - to stay away from this addictive thread :p) TBH, I think I spend more time on this thread than on checking my CIC account - a big win considering I was repeat refreshing my account before I landed up on this forum ;) To all naysayers, this thread is the best therapy - and we're making friends before landing in Canada in the process. What more could we possibly ask for, than a readymade circle of friends before we hit alien shores...
A shout out to active members of our 24-27Oct IP2 ark (@B.B. , @lavanya31 , @Prashant86_2000 , @richa1987, @shishirkona , @mathansri gf ;) et al), of whom some are well poised to complete the PPR formalities, land in Canada and share their experiences with us (@dalgleish @TOFluv, @Afaz77 and @Matt@123). I'd be happy to catch up with you guys and gals once we're all in the promised land :)
Absolutely no doubt that we all should meet and stay in contact. How it happens, whether one to one or a group gathering doesn't matter. What matters is that we stay connected and pull each other through this phase. We are privileged that we have so many friend even before we have landed.

U guys wanna truth about that progress bar... its another mirage for ur eyes
I am also convinced on this to a large extent. I feel the status bar will help them let go of a standard 6 month processing timeline so that after that each case is unique in itself and non comparable under one parameter that all of us are bounded with.
Right now we are aware of 7-8 major steps like info sharing, MEP, eligibility, criminality etc and until unless they decide to introduce more such parameter to make the process more transparent, the whole exercise would be a sham.
Also, since it would be expected completion timeline, it can be changed at anytime during the process if one particular step is taking more time.
But still keeping positive and hoping that I would be of some sort of help to all of is here. Cheers.

Dont worry, you will get your ppr by Feb or March as that will complete your six months. Till that time relax as your file wont show any progress as it happened in our case too.Just engage your time in something else and stop bothering about the process.

I'm kind of relieved security is not started to be honest. I was afraid the delay was due to some problem with our documents or security taking an unexpectantly long time. But looks like we're just in a queue waiting like many others. As soon as the queue moves up there will be progress :)
Thanks for this dose of optimism. It was much needed.
