AOR today, 20 days after my application was received. Yay! Hoping for SA soon.
That's awesome, so they seem to be right around that average intake time, so since they received ours on June 13 we may have AOR by July 3 or thereabouts. I presume they aren't working on weekends so July 4 may be more likely. If they are quicker, we could have it on June 30 before Canada day holiday...

As for proposals, since we are sharing :D my wife and I knew we wanted to be together forever within the first few months, and so I formally proposed to her and gave her an engagement ring during my first visit to the Philippines when we met in person for the first time. Of course, we didn't really make it public right away as we thought people would make assumptions about our relationship seeing as how we just knew each other for a few months and most of that was long distance. A few months later once we got to know each of our family members a little more, we formalized it on Facebook.

As others have said, I don't think the proposal section is as important to CIC, but in certain cultures the proposal is a much bigger deal, so the forms are generic enough to accommodate that. Same goes for the wedding and reception questions. I put all the details in the wedding section, but because our wedding and reception were a combined event, I just stated that in the reception question.

Hey All!

Me & my fiancee applied yesterday (received CPC-Missisauga for Outland Sponsorship. We ended up submitting some 426 pages because we are applying as common-law! Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone! :)

I've updated on the spreadsheet as well!

Just received my AOR1 by email!
The package was delivered to Mississauga on June 3, so that makes it 19 days! Hope they're speeding up all the other stages as well. ;)

Holy! What was the weight of your package then? :)
We too applied as common-law, and chose to be picky as to what to include for evidence. Having lived together for about 3 years results in a pile of stuff ;D

Yeah, i guess we chose to include most things rather than less. We've lived together for a year, and are pretty much always out doing something that apparently involves photos or tickets - so if we put it in the "outings" section, we included the tickets, etc. I'm not sure how much it weighed, but it cost us $50 to copy the entire thing at the fedex before we sent it!! LOL.

We also communicate A LOT through fb messages - so printing that all out would have been 337 pages in and of itself - we chose to include one day a month for the 1 year... stuff like that adds up! The photos were about 50 pages though as included our engagement party. Also, we have a bunch of documents for our upcoming wedding that we included also... dunno - just seemed like we were covering all bases and thought better be safe than sorry!!

Such a relief to have sent it off though!! :o

Its only passed one week since hubby filed our app, but I already can't wait to recieve AOR :).

From what I read there are some cases when ppl do not even recieve one and first communication with CIC was a SA. CIC is so inconsistent.

Just popping in from May, but that's the case for me, so far. My application was received on May 20th and I have yet to hear anything. No AOR1 or SA. My 43rd day will be July 3, so I'll be calling CIC on the 4th (Monday) if I haven't heard anything yet. So frustrating how inconsistent they are! And I'm a straightforward American-Canadian, married with two kids application!!
