I'm not sure other than for New Delhi and Sydney applicants that anyone here has actually received an AOR2 from the overseas visa office. I agree with you, the "in process" status on ECAS is meaningless.

I think the only thing to do is to actually order CAIPS/GCMS notes in order to find out what is happening with your file.

If you've received SA, I would wait at least a month before assuming it's reached the overseas VO

My concern here is that as soon as an applicant gets SA, I feel like Missisauga changes the PR section of ECAS to 'In-Process' immediately since it has been through Phase 1, technically Phase 2 is already in process. Chances are that your ECAS updated to IP soon as you were approved for SA and way before your actual VO recieved your file. That's why I'm a little concerned about AR2s since people who had their files transferred after me have theirs and it makes me a little uneasy.

I had my IP on ECAS PR section 3 days before SA, so I'm pretty sure it don't mean squat.

i am thinking to the same too. my PR changed from application received to In process last week

My spouse called CIC again today to ask about the SA mail and apparently they haven't even mailed it to him (the agent he talked to last week said it was already on the way :-X). They said they will mail it and it will get to us in 3-4 weeks and that our application was sent to Manila. However, I'm currently in the US on a student visa so I hope our mails from Manila VO won't get lost :/

Called CIC today and they confirmed that SA is approved and I will receive the letter by 16 Sep.
FYI guys ECAS is still in process.

Hi all. Amazing news! I just found out my husband's PR application was transferred from the Amman VO to the Abu Dhabi VO. Wow. I wonder if Amman is trying to free up their resources to process refugees? We had requested ADVO in both parts of our original application. So thankful!

I received an email from the Amman VO although it was adressed to my husband. I don't know if he received the same yet.

that's very nice of them to notify you change of visa office. It would have been crazy to find out later in the processing stage.
