I still don't feel safe, lol. So many plot twists in this process.
I hear you. I thought I had finished the process by landing on January 17th but yesterday received notification that they needed two new photos in order to issue my PR card. Apparently they didn't like the set I sent them in September though, of course, they did not specify why. It wouldn't be a problem if I were in Canada, but I'm back in the US tidying up loose ends and US passport photographers here have a horrible time meeting Canadian photo specifications :(

Try going somewhere like a chain of pharmacy a that has branches in the states.do you guys have london drugs?if so,try there.

I had to get specific sized photos for a Canadian gun license when I was in australia and th out "I am never gonna find these!!". I went to a small indepedant camera shop that did photos.the guy looked at the sizes and said he'd never heard of them before but looked it up on the database thing on his computor (it seemed like a program where you just type in what the photos are for and the sizes automatically come up,then you select it and the pictures are printed in that size).
Anyways it came up!the guy said he didn't even know "canadian gun license photos" we're on the program haha.

Also, funnily enough, when he printed them out, they had a london drugs logo printed outside the frame of the picture which I thought was weird!
So maybe try london drug?as if they can get canadian gun license photos to australia, they must have canadian visa photos in the states!

I was told that if i called the embassy/Canadian office nearby that they could recommend someone. I googled "Canadian immigration photos" and then with the largest nearby city and found a place that does them specifically. I was terrified so I chose that since I didn't want to risk the photos being wrong. That was just me! haha A lot of people can get just a private photographer to do the pictures you just have to give the measurements. I live in the middle of no where Texas so that couldn't happen lol

Ah you should be fine then! :)

Cool! *jealous*

I ordered our notes and looks as though they are still waiting on out CSQ. The letter said it was sent automatically, so not sure what happened there. Anyway I sent them today by the mail. Hoping that was the only reason for the delay.

What is CSQ?

Oh that's a tough! But now you did right thing :)
I remember MIDI said that CSQ will send to VO automatically but my VO requested me to send copy of CSQ.
I heard few people didn't ask about send CSQ to VO, even Quebec applicant....it's really depend on officer.
But anyway your officer will recieve soon so I hope your process will go smoothly!!!

Yes Quebec selection certificate.

Thank you! I really hope so. Just wish I'd ordered my notes much sooner. We've had our CSQ since Oct. 14th >.<

First week of March ,fingers crossed we will have some good news this month and some process.

To all my CPC-Ottawa friends:

My husband's application status changed to In Process on February 16, 2015 so at least there is some progress. Hopefully it's GOOD progress!

This is so inspiring! So hoping that us July applicants have some movement in the next couple weeks! What is the update now??

Still "in process." I don't really expect quick results from CIC anymore.

I'm not even "in process"

Ours still says;

Application for Permanent residency has been received "
Medicals have been received"

and that's it. Our status when I open it is STILL "Application received"
:(
However they requested our RTRF in December... so that has to mean something right?

Same here, mines said the same thing since I sent the application in June.

Starting to get a feeling that a month from now we are all going to be saying "well it's the start of April now, let's all hope that this month ottawa start to approve some applications!"

So frustrated right now.

based on the ottawa spreadsheet and what applicants faced as june 2013 applicants, my hunch is that ottawa is going to start moving again mid-late march. this "down time" *seems* quite "normal" when comparing the processing time to 2013 applicants.
