if the tests came fast to April and May it would be faster to us. anyway summer is finished let's see what will happen in the next few weeks.

the government said they reduced backlog by 8%, when it stood at 320000. but according to their quarterly data ended dec 31/2013, there r 400000 application waiting for decision. they always talk the talk, walk the walk. so i wouldnt keep expectation too high.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/statistics/data-release/2013-Q4/index.asp
in the first link, by dec 31, backlog for grant of citizenship stood at 396000

http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do;jsessionid=681b91475edf805a3400934119507e72de68c1eaebacb2315ab26f459d2e6a9b.e38RbhaLb3qNe38Kbxn0?crtr.sj1D=&crtr.mnthndVl=12&mthd=advSrch&crtr.dpt1D=6664&nid=872629&crtr.lc1D=&crtr.tp1D=930&crtr.yrStrtVl=2008&crtr.kw=&crtr.dyStrtVl=1&crtr.aud1D=&crtr.mnthStrtVl=1&crtr.page=1&crtr.yrndVl=2014&crtr.dyndVl=31

in the 2nd link, it said by end of june, backlog is 295000. so if the number stands, as they already granted 150000 new citizen, which means they only received 50000 new application for 2014, which is nonsense!
they have under-estimated the inventory by 80000.

on average, CIC welcome 20000 new citizens per month and but they also receives 20000 (or more) new application bcuz the new requirement( language, residence) hasnt taken in place. thus, the there shouldnt be any backlog reduction unless the intake drop dramatically or they processing larger number of application than receiving new applications. thus, again, its a waiting game, its also a bingo game. if u hit the jackpot, ur case will be processed fast.

report done

i wish my application hits the jackpot ;D ;D :D :D :D :D :D

My eCAS is ACTIVE!

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 20, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 20, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on August 12, 2014.

My application was received by CIC-Sydney on June 20 as well. However, my eCAS is still not available yet. It has been two months...

I'm sure you will get it soon. AOR's seem to come in more towards the weekend, so maybe check first thing Friday morning, and during the weekend. Also, be sure to check with both your Client ID AND PR Card Number, as I've heard some people were able to look it up with one, but no the other, at least initially.

Does some one knows please how long between the Ecase update and the AOR reception?
Thank you
