Hey don't worry my status changed to DM today also.

But you received PPR....so that's a good indicator that you've been approved....we don't get PPR so we're stuck being stressed out until we receive COPR in the mail. So bitter sweet lol

Got PPR this morning! Everybody good luck!

Hi Kobe Wong,
congratulations!!! can you let us know your details?
is your ecas updated to DM made.

I spoke to CIC call center today and their response is depressing. Still they are working on my back ground check. don't know when do they finish.
One of my friend applied for PR in August 2015, he got PPR 2 weeks back. I applied in june 2014 but no update at all.

Hey kobe-wong, congrats!!!
I assume CIC did not request medical re-assessment from you? Should be expired for you by now?

I didn't get medical reassessment for i did ME in Canada. As i know if your case is processed in Canada, but get medical outside Canada, you may have the medical reassessment when your ME result will be expired soon.

Received 5 June 2014; AOR July 16 2014; MR JAN 23 2015; RPRF upfront July 2015; PPR Feb. 11 2016

My ecas is still in process. I think before the ME result expire, the final will be made.

Thank heavens !! COPR arrived in mail today - following DM on this past Monday...
I'm in shock!!...
Good luck to all those June guys still waiting - not long now x

Not only did we get DM on Tuesday, but yesterday we received an APOLOGY e-mail from CIC for their error in processing BOWP back in July. They refused it due to an error on their part which caused my boyfriend to have to quit his job and lose out on 7 months of pay. They're refunding him the processing/application fees and issuing a work permit (which he won't need once he gets COPR). It would be nice if they would reimburse him for the 7 months of pay he lost but hey, beggers can't be choosers! Looks like they're finally stepping up for real. Doesn't seem like it will be very long for the rest of the backlog.

Hi j.lynnbrant1987,

Do you know why they took so long after requesting your medical examinations to complete your case? Do you mind me asking if there was something wrong with your medicals?

Sorry to hear about the mistake on their side with the BOWP, these people have no idea how their job affect so many lives. At least the fact they're recognizing it gives me hope that things are changing for better at CIC.

yeah, I was shocked that they apologized. We had our MP and my father got his MP involved too and within days both applications were finalized so I think that really helped. We bugged and bugged and called and e-mailed to the point where they probably just wanted to get rid of us so we stopped annoying them hahah

There was no issues with the medical. There was just a really long backlog I guess. There was zero communication between medicals and RPRF in November. I don't know what the reason was to be honest. I noticed a lot of people who got their medicals in the beginning of 2015 and are just getting DM now. I think they're trying to finalize most applications before their meds expire.

I hope you are right about the finalizing before the medical expires thing, im really losing a lot of my career because of them now ..
also I see most applications that got finalised lately were, where people were withing Canada, does medical reassessment give them more time to waste? :(

Thanks j.lynnbrant1987 for your response.

It's unbelievable how long they took in your case. But I am glad that all this is behind your back now. I wish you both all the best in your lives as permanent residents.

Since they are admitting it was their error and the pay loss was the primary cause of the wages lost I'd say you have a strong case against them (unless there are some provisions in the immigration act preventing that) - I'd consult a (non-immigration) lawyer about that.

I do agree...but in all honesty, I am just happy this nightmare has finally ended, I am not sure 7 months worth of salary is even worth going through more crap with immigration. The fact my boyfriend can stay in Canada regardless of what the PR decision is, is payment enough haha
