EI have got 2 e-mails from CIC requesting for RCMP. I had replied to the first email stating that I have already submitted it along with my application in June 2014, but yesterday I received the second email. Anyone here received these emails?

If you received it second time than I suggest you to do RCMP again and send it to them. Maybe there is a reason they requested it twice (may be they lost it - happens).

Are both the emails referring to the same type of RCMP or are the different viz..one with Name check and the other one with Finger Prints ?

Both for finger prints. Does the regular RCMP which we do cover both (name & fingerprints)?

June 2014 applicants started getting medicals?

I think yes. even though you go for a name base RCMP certificate they will ask for a finger print.

RCMP certificate itself says as below
Dear sir/Madam,
This certifies that a search of the National Criminal records repository and finger print repository maintained by RCMP concerning the applicant whhose finger print, Name and date of birth appeared below could not be associated ..... blah blah.

so there is no separate RCMP certificate for name or finger print based. both are same certificate.

so there is no separate RCMP certificate for name or finger print based. both are same certificate.

They are not the same thing bud. One is just a name based test and the other one checks your fingerprints with a police database, which ensures that the record is clear.

Not a medical, but something is finally moving - I just got (less than an hour ago) a request for a copy of tax assessment for 2013. My application was received on 23rd.

Can you please add my info applied 12 th June recieved by 16th June aor 29th July no mr yet current ecas in process
