Unfortunately my application got returned. I am applying along with a common-law spouse and we submitted two separate applications as we are both eligible and that's what I thought we had to do (I didn't realise he'd get PR just for being my spouse). It got returned because we didn't double-up on the forms, for example, I paid 1 x $550, however they said that I should have paid 2 x $550 to include my spouse, and in his application they said the same to him.

It looks like (thanks for confirming Toby) that we just need to do 1 application, with me as the principle applicant and my common-law will also get PR automatically if I do. I'm going to blend our documents together as I already have everything we need, and re-send off the new application ASAP! I will return in the July applicants thread and fingers crossed for 2nd time lucky....

That sounds good, just apply for one of you that has the strongest (read most complete documentation) application.

So they do a prelim screening before they go for a second level and send AOR...When was it returned to U exactly, just trying to figure out the process...

The application was received at CIO on June 11th. I received it back in the post on July 21st. For some reason they returned all documents except my photographs so I'm going to have to go and get my photos done again! Ignore me, I just found the photos in a little envelope!

They went through every box on every form and ticked it to ensure it was filled out correctly, and then highlighted on the document checklist what was missing.

Sigh!!

good luck everyone!

Cheers!!

My CC hasn't got charged today. My application was received at CIC on July 12th. Hopefully tomorrow now !

June 12/14 Applicants - not sure if you guys have noticed but it seems like CIO alternates between processing FSW applications and CEC applications in a week. I believe the past couple of days they have been working on FSW applications. They should start working on CEC applications soon (hopefully from today) at which time you guys should see charges on your credit cards. Hang in there guys! They're getting to your applications :)

Where do you find out how many applications they have received for a particular week?

Pointing out my website here... >> http://cectoolkit.weebly.com/
You'll find a lot of stuff there.

And you would've found this link as well: >> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp
This page is updated every week and counts complete applications packages received by CIC.

You can refer to this for count - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp

Thanks a lot for the quick response! I did go to that page but it only displays NOC-B categories. I applied under NOC-1112.

Do you think there is any chance i'll get my AOR before the end of the month (I sent in my application on the 14th and it was received on 16th June 2014)? My PGWR is expiring in 8 days and I'm freaking out now.

Thanks again!
