Just got over from call with CIC agent, he said my application is approved and ECAS should be updated.
Checked my Ecas and its now DM.
Long wait got over!!!

Hey ... Did they ask you for PCC specifically.. In my case i did submit PVC from local police commissioner.. It took 2-4 days from my side.. And they did accept the same for my process..

Hi, They did not ask for PCC yet. I am sep4th applicant. I have earlier got PCC from passport office and sent to them in April15. It took me 2 months as process is same as to get new passport.

I am not sure if they will be asking for new PCC or not, but I am just checking how long it will take to get new PCC second time. Did they ask you for new PCC or this is the first time you have submitted.?

I was in same situation. My mailing address was in Canada but home address was Indian. They asked me to submit my passport to Canadian visa office. My representative did send them an email to change the same. By the way did they ask police clearance certificate from India..if not you should submit the same coz you are in India and this can slowdown your app.. Do it fast if not..

when did your representative ask for the visa office change and did you get any response yet ?

Got Decision made on 5th Dec after 18 months of long wait. How many more months to wait for PPR?? what's wrong with CIC??? So frustrating

We are Jun Applicants. Our MR came on Jan 2015. Its been 11 Months... Still no PPR...At least you are one step ahead from us.

That's strange. Why is it taking so long after decision made? have you talked to call center?

Yes. Spoke with at least 5 different agents in the past 5 months (called once per month) and every one of them said it was positively approved with one of them even made a note on my file and sent to CPC-Ottawa requesting PPR email (this was in Sept-2015). Still no progress! :'(

If you moved back to India they might ask you police certificate.. This means for India if you are not in Punjab .. You can provide local police verification certificate.. That took max five days... I did that two times.. For me and my wife same process.. You have to contact local police station they will guide you.. In Gujarat everything is online so much better... Don't worry you won't have any issues..

In the last few minutes, I just received my request to pay the RPRF fee. I had paid this upfront in February, had already emailed the receipt to cost recovery and it had updated on my gcms notes that payment received.

Should I forward the receipt to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca, including all my details and explain how this is already paid? Should I copy in the Cost Recovery email as well?

Appreciate your feedback. it looks like things are moving!

I would do exactly what you said, things will get slower at CIC between now and the new year so do what you must to get your info across.

I just did exactly that. I think the RPRF request was probably done automatically because on my GCMS notes I can see that they received the payment back in February. Really appreciate your feedback!
