If you're referring to Formulaire d'Engagement, section 2 does not have any parts - it's simply identification of the principal applicant. Section 3 has a part B that is for les membres de la famille qui ne l'accompagnent pas au Quebec.

The sponsor would not be listed in that part, nor part A. The sponsor is not accompanying or non-accompanying - the sponsor is obviously a Quebec resident and Canadian PR or citizen. I'm going to assume you are the one sponsoring your wife. The principal applicant (that is, your wife, if she is being sponsored by you) needs to write those members of her nuclear family, basically, that will not be accompanying her to Quebec, and the associated details for each. I'm not sure what "signature part" you're referring to but for the last page of the Formulaire that I'm describing, the sponsor signs (once).

Thanks for your reply. I am a Quebec resident sponsering my wife, and i was refering about the only form that is to be filled and signed by my wife (the sponsered) - "Application for Selection Certificate".
My concern was on Sections 2, 5 and 6. Sorry for not making it very clear. Hope this time , it is clear.

Form A-0520? Part 2 is the exact same thing as in the sponsor's form, so the same thing applies. Then on page 3, once she reads the declaration of common values of Quebec society, she signs and dates the first line and any other secondary applicants (people accomanying her, if that is true of your case) sign the line(s) below. Ditto for page 4, but she adds the city and country (fields above signature lines) she is presently in when reading and signing. On page 3 she signs off that she acknowledges Quebec values and agrees to live by them, including knowing French. On page 4, she signs off that she acknowledges she undertands the "nature and scope of the undertaking" and that she has provided truthful information.

Hey we finally seem to be moving alOng now! Inwas actually approved on august 22, received the official letter today, the letter was mailed on august 27. I got confussed and thought CIC said I was approved on the 27, not sure if it matters but thought it was worth mentioning for the spread sheet. Hopefully our app is transferred to slowpoke Rome soon! Best of luck to everyone!

Stupid question: what is AOR?

Acknowledgement of Receipt , a letter which the visa office may or may not send you when they recieve your application :)

also may come in the form of an email, depending on the Vo (Buffalo even sends out PPRs by email). also may be forced out of the VO by emailing it; they respond with F and/or B number of file.

hi katie3234, thanks for the clarification! It actually helps to get a better idea how quickly (or slowly!!) they're resolving first stage process. So it took them a whopping 68 days from package receipt to approval to issue their decision. That's like, wow!! :o

Congratulations anyway and good luck with the rest of the process.
