I believe you would have given a PCC for this duration while applying for PR, if so, you can mention the same in the explanation box for why PCC isn't being provided. The online application guide has detailed it out with a similar example.Hi all, hope all are well!
I hope to be a July applicant soon, but just have a clarifying question. I meet all criteria successfully, but I spent 190 days in Pakistan (my home country/place of birth) from Dec 2020 to June 2021 (while I was on temporary status -> work permit). Do you guys think I still need a police certificate as per the 183 day policy?
FYI, I became PR on 02/02/2022. Also, the period stated above of duration in Pakistan falls within my 5 year eligibility period from date of application.
Thanks very much!

After that it's mostly a waiting game till you receive test invite, assuming you are within the 18-55 age range. And potentially a request for fingerprints IF they ask for it (not too common as per my understanding). So to understand, what will be the next steps now after receiving the AOR & their timeline?

Wow I had to look at the forum posts from back then - different thing, the stuff we were worrying about, covid-time and all that. We ended up punting our arrival / return to Canada until the following summer (2021) because of school and stuff. Wife and stepsons will apply for citizenship when they have the days, which is this fall/beginning of the year (kids have done little travel, spouse has more - even though in total not that much time abroad).

Glad to hear! Yes those were stressful times indeed! Back home as in Russia? We've travelled there a few times over the last couple of years, pretty uneventful to be honest.Wow I had to look at the forum posts from back then - different thing, the stuff we were worrying about, covid-time and all that. And at least we're not dealing with the issues back 'home', which are just awful.
