I applied for proof of citizenship from the UK, in July 2024, by paper. I can't check progress online and have heard nothing yet apart from the initial acknowledgement. I did submit a Web form a few months ago and was told it is in process. How long are applications taking at the moment? Is there any other way I can get an update?
Thank you

The average processing time for proof of citizenship is currently at 5 months. You're already at more than twice of that. Your application may be non-routine, and any non-routine application at IRCC will just take the time it takes, we can't really say when you'll get your citizenship proof. You may want to ask for your GCMS notes via ATIP to have a better idea about what's going on, or, if you also have an address in Canada, request the local Member of Parliament to ask about the application on your behalf.

Thank you for your help. I will try the GCMS notes.
