They can provide updates on the status.Yesterday I logged into my GCKey account, just to check if there are any updates (didn't get any email notifications or anything). Next to my application it showed "Application Updated/New Update", but when I clicked on the application, everything is the same, no change whatsoever. My tracker is basically the same, no updates since the 4th of Oct on it.

Congratulations! Your background checks will be completed soon. Once they are finished (including information sharing, criminal, and security screenings), you will receive the final decision the very next day.
Thank you so much for your help! I really wanted to give them a call but I am not in Canada atm and believe there isn't an international number I could call, it will be more of requesting GCMS notes to know what is going on. I did it before but it took almost a month, so I am hoping that I'll hear back before November (hopefully!).

How you know the background check will be completed soon? I thought that background check will be very time consuming?
I’m not sure, honestly. I just shared what I’ve gathered from various discussions across multiple forums here to try and help. Hopefully, it provides some clarity or reassurance. And yes, it can definitely be time-consuming depending on the complexity of the application!
I’m not sure of any alternative ways, but you can try calling +1 (888) 242-2100 between 8 and 9 AM. Press 1 for status, enter your application number, then your year of birth, and press 1 again for status. After that, press 0 to talk to an agent!
