I am a cec applicant with Aor July 2020.
when I called cic last month the representative said my security screening is remaining. The next day I got a request from cic for my husband’s medical again.
when I called the customer care again the woman said my background check and security has not yet started . I am confused now .

Hello everyone,

So since Feb 2020, my file is stuck on the same status with no updates. No GU either. No final decision. They asked for schedule A & NOA's. Not sure why.
I applied as an inland. Had to go back to India for personal reasons in November. I received a bridging work permit. Applied for Visa on 25th December. Stuck in India now. Not able to come back.

AOR : July 13, 2020
Eligibility: Recommended passed
Criminality: Passed
Security : Passed
@legalfalcon Telephone agent says that CIC is not finalizing the files of those outside Canada. Doesn't matter if they applied under CEC. They also said that Case processing officer is waiting for me to back to Canada in order to issue a COPR. I have a bridging work permit but no visa. What should I do?

You can apply for a visa and travel to Canada if that is what you want.

As regards finalizing application, many outland applicants are getting PPRs. So the information you got over the phone may not be true.

Hi everyone, I got my PR approved on my CIC account today and also got the COPR letter at the same time and I wanted to share my timeline.

AOR July 29
Background check : March 7( heard from agent when I called)
Eligibility Passed: March 4 ( heard from phone call)
Medical exam results extended: March 12th
I called on the 15th of March and the agent told me my PR was approved on the 12th, the officer just has not communicated this to me.

Today I got everything at once.

By the way this is my third attempt applying through express entry, I made silly mistakes in my first two applications and now I am finally a PR after 8 years in Canada. Came as a student, then got PGWP, now PR. Please don't lose hope, I almost did, it really affected my mental health. This pandemic has been hard enough for us, don't let IRCC add to that stress. You will all get yours soon. Thanks to everyone here for posting. This forum was my support system. Off to apply for PR Card☺

Congrats.
Wrote IELTS 8 times , then got ITA in 2019, had to decline due to unavoidable circumstances. Then rentered in dec 2019, scores went high. So again wrote IELTS and increased score maxed out IELTS and then got ITA in Marc 2020. Submitted docs in Apr2020. Medicals eligibility conclusively passed by officer by1st week of Aug. since then I think my application is in limbo. God only knows the stress I am going through. All my friends who applied after my got their CoPR ,latest being one who applied in Jan2021. And when IRCC call centre agent says due to COVID timelines are screwed , sometimes I feel, is it only for Feb to April 2020 applications, timelines are screwed by COVID. If you see rest all applications. Utmost in 8 months decisions are made.
So 2017 June was first when I wrote IELTS.
I often wonder is it worth? These days just doing my work. Even now sharing this because, I feel, we need to start enjoying life and forget all these and whenever it comes it comes else... ...
