@legalfalcon , please help.

1)
Company A - 5 months 12 days
Company B - 12 months 18 days

Will total work experience be considered as 18 months (1.5 years) by IRCC?

2) Is it okay if salary is mentioned in monthly figures (instead of annual) in reference letter?

1) IRCC system does not count days. only months and years.

2) YEs. It does not matter whether your salary was paid months or annually or bi monthly etc.

Thank you @legalfalcon

Company A- 21st Jan 2019 to 6th March 2019

Company B - 10th Jan 2020 to 2nd Jan 2021

So, according to IRCC,
company A = 3 months and company B = 12 months.

Is my understanding correct?

Hi @legalfalcon
I have a question concerning my application as regards pof. Before the covid lockdown, I had ~13,500 available as proof of funds but due to the disruption of work and all, when my ita came, I submitted my application with ~$12,500 as a single applicant. I submitted at the beginning of the month, but my next salary at the end of the month would have made it more than 12960 but I submitted either way hoping it would be inconsequential. Do I have to worry about it? Because I think I’m beginning to have concerns about it

For a single applicant the PoF requirement is $12,960 and you have to show these funds in order to meet the financial admissibility as per section 39 of IRPA, which states:

Financial reasons

39
A foreign national is inadmissible for financial reasons if they are or will be unable or unwilling to support themself or any other person who is dependent on them, and have not satisfied an officer that adequate arrangements for care and support, other than those that involve social assistance, have been made.

If your funds were short, you could have sent a revised PoF after you received the salary.

Also, if your are a CEC applicant, and employed in Canada, you are exempt from showing PoF.

Yes.

Alright but what do you think can be done now or do you think it would be an issue @legalfalcon

IF you upload a new PoF and explain, it will be at the discretion of the officer.

Called IRCC since I was questioning what was on my profile nothing was updated, waited for ~24 mins on the line. Agent was extremely helpful (probably relaxed and recharged after the Thanksgiving long weekend :p) and told me the following:

Medicals (had it done July 2019): Passed
Biometrics (exempted gave it back in Fall 2014 for study permit): Passed
Eligibility : In Progress
Security : Not started
Criminality: In Progress
BG check: in progress
Visa office: CPC-Ottawa

Agent gave a heads up that due to COVID obviously the processing time will be more or less than 6 months.
