Oh i totally understand. Many times i have wanted to chuck the whole thing in since i can move to the U.K.as thats where i was born. We sent in our application in April so was expecting for him to be here for Christmas, at this rate he won't be here before another frigging winter. We are living apart at the moment and we both own homes in both countries, so we are both getting our homes ready to sell just in case.

I am so fed up at the moment i could cry, but holding on for now. We are giving it to June and if there is no process on our application then its time to start seriously thinking of me packing up and selling. CIC has lost so many documents from our application its not funny. I would have been fired by now if that was myt poor state of workmanship.

It really is hard to be away from our loved ones.
I keep fighting the urge to fly back over as the funds need to be saved for the day my wife can fly into Canada. Each passing day hearing of no updates from my wife's email and no updates on ECAS makes it more difficult not take a run to the Thai Embassy in Ottawa and get a 1yr visa to stay over there in Thailand with her with the ability to extend of course.
I have ordered the GCMS notes again, hopefully there will be some positive changes with her application.

Chris

Its so hard Chris, we are trying to keep the funds too for when my hubby arrives, but like you i look at flights and want to go. Its my husbands birthday at the end of the month and this will be the first year we have been apart on each others birthday. Unfortunately i was going to go in March but my mother passed away in January so had to fly home then. I want to go back and fly over with him when he lands but i this rate he will be coming over here and flying back with me to the U.K. :(

Im an October applicant and to be honest I understand your frustrations. I wish CIC-O will just speed up this process and grant us our visas so that we can be with our loved ones and stop spending money visiting each other. This is money that can be used towards a home, life together and planning for children! The wait is really annoying ugh

Like you taffy it appears that CIC either did not send all the documents to Manila or some were lost. We have had to send personal documentation that was originally sent to Mississauga back to Manila. In our GCMS notes I have noticed several requests made back to Mississauga for different IMM numbers that should have been sent to Manila in the first place. These requests were not acknowledged over night either. The amount of money we pay for this process you would think it would be better organized and thus a bit quicker.

Trying to keep positive :)

Christ i kept getting emails asking for the same documents, eventually the lady called me and said sorry it was a mistake on their behalf. Then when i ordered my notes it said they will contact applicant because they could not find divorce certificate or birth certificate on file , so i went to my MP office and they forwarded them with the notes attached saying they couldn't find them ... I was so ticked off, until this day my husband has had no communication from London asking for anything, so i'm guessing if i didn't send them off we would be delayed further, waiting for them to request them sigh!!!

I have never had to scan my citizen card or passport to order notes . Also if you order after 11 am they go to the next business day . mOst times the notes are not delivered on a weekend, so not always 30 days.

If principal applicant is in Canada, he can request for himself and apply for free under Privacy Act.

That is what I did, much easier to do everything online. I paid $5 and ordered under the Access to Info act, guess you can do either!

I ordered mine Feb 16 after hours... so lets say Feb 17 and I haven't gotten them yet. Then I realized ... oh wait Feb only has 28 days lol... So I am only at day 29 today! .. Maybe tomorrow :)

I would add another day to that as the 16 was family day.

I'm the sponsor so I order the notes under the access to information, If i were to use the privacy I may only receive information on the sponsors side and not both. I ordered my second set of notes March 12.. not expecting to see them until April 10, or 13.

Also same goes for me the only thing I uploaded was the signed authorization form from my wife. No passport scans, ID cards etc.

my husband ordered throught the privacy act with my consent, and we received the entire immigration file, not just the sponsor's. as far as i can tell, the information is the same regardless of what act it's ordered through. i think the only difference is one act is for when the person(s) is in canada (free) and when the person(s) are not($5).
