They asked for extra proof that I planned to return to Canada. (I'm the sponsor) so I sent in my cell phone bill, new bank account information, and my student loan showing proof of mailing address. Which is all Canadian.
I guess they ask most of the sponsors to send in extra proof unless they are living in Canada. I was really hoping we would hear something once our 30 days was up. :( We are close to 60 days and still nothing. It is really hard.

Ashley how many months is Ottawa? London is 11 months so i have some time to wait . Most have been getting DM withing 7 months, but the way they have screwed up my file i'm sure i will be waiting the 11 months as quoted on the CIC website . It is really hard but it will be worth it once we get it. Some proof is also contact with schools if you have children or real estate inquiries . Also resumes you may have sent out to companies.

I'm not to worried about the proof part. I don't have kids but I had moved back in September, only my husbands grandmother died and our dog got brutally killed outside my parents place.... So we moved back since he would have to sit around the house and wait. At least here while we are waiting he could be with his family and not see the place our dog was killed everyday.

Ottawa is 16 months according to CIC but 90% of applications are only 6-8 months max. Only the complicated cases take longer, at least that's what we've been told. As a July applicant, we were hoping to hear by January. But it is looking more like not hearing anything until about March.

Our two months will be Feb 18. (since they have had the info)
I just really hope they move along soon. :( Waiting with no jobs or anything is shockingly hard.

hey Taffy,

Did you get the re-medical request from LVO...
London is too slow...even june applicants are waiting

June applicant here and haven't heard anything from London visa Office. Last correspondence I got was when I received spousal approval in August. Looks like there's a bunch of April and May applicants still waiting, so I'm figuring it's gonna be April-ish before I hear anything

Ah! I don't think anyone wanted to hear that! That is terrifying!
Hopefully they get back to moving immediately!

So did you order notes as well? when are you expecting to hear positive from LVO.
anyways all the best !!

Hi folks,

Finally received something from CIC. They have requested additional proof of intent that my wife (sponsor) plans to re-establish in canada. They have also requested a medical which i did not do up front. I have now done the medical but unfortunately it is not linked in their system as the emedical system could not find me when I did my medical a few weeks ago.

What is the best way to send this information through? I had sent emails to cic Ottawa when I did my medical back in january but havent heard anything back. I dont know if they will get those emails now.

Just email them the proof that you have done the medical. It usually takes a month or 2 to update in their ECAS system..
Also you can contact your medical doctor, coz LVO does acknowledge doctor when they get the Medicals, if its not e-medical specially

My notes had lots of info in them . They have lost my husbands divorce certificate and wants the birth certificate of my step son who is 27 and was on the additional information form . I am really hoping that by by the end of March beginning of April it will go into process.I can't see DM begin made before May.Its just my gut feeling ,plus if you look at the spreadsheet some london applicants are just getting Dm from Feb /March.

How do you order notes?

Thanks

If you go to the cic website and type in GCMS the information will come up on how to apply for your notes. Use the "Privacy act" to get your notes. They take an average of 30 days. They will cost you $5.00 .They will be sent via email.
