I've seen Manila and Vienna moving. Which is at least something. But London and Ottawa are most certainly frozen.

which fits my theory that there seems to be a rotation of quick processing through all the visa offices. if this information was actually tracked, i'm sure it will show that 1-3 visa offices process applications quickly for a certain period of time and then suddenly come to a halt. then once those come to a halt, there are other offices that start moving. it's strange, and i'm not sure if it's a coincidence or if it's some internal protocol with cic.

during the time i've started paying attention this has happened in paris, syndey, ottawa, london...

When do you think we should see some movement again?
I was really wanting to be landing in March!

Thanks god just got my passport with the visa and the DM today...hope all of u speedy process
Thank u all

your guess is as good as mine. there's no knowing how or when cic will do anything. all that can be done is wait and see.

Could the slow movement in Ottawa be related to the processing of Express Visas program recently launched?

I just wish they would 100% finish the applications they have before starting working on any other applications. then we wouldn't see as much as a wave and more steady timeline.

i have no idea. anything is possible. there's really no knowing why cic does what it does. it's really all assumption based on the "trends" seen on this forum.

Hey rhcohen2014,

Can you give me your opinion on how VO offices work? I mean is it first come first serve? because I've seen people who get PPR even though their files got transferred after others.

Also, lets say a VO asks for documents and gives the applicant 30 days or something, do you think they move to other applications during those 30 days?

Any infor or guesses you may have would be appreciated.

What you have to remember is 1 every VO is different and 2nd every application is different . E.G. i have an non accompany dependent and my husband has traveled round the world so i'm guessing a bigger and wider security check . As for the extra documents and time lines, for me i have always had to wait the days they gave me to send documents to see any movement in my account. Others have seen movement straight away, so no one knows the correct answer. I would surely hope they move to other applicants and don't sit on their butt waiting for the 30 days to expire before doing any other work.

Thank you, I understand :)

Our 30 days was up Jan 18th for the extra info and RTRF and we still haven't heard a thing... :(
I'm starting to really go crazy!

What information was they asking for? They have to review that information and sometimes well mostly you won't hear anything until they want more info or send you your corp or passport request ...

They asked for extra proof that I planned to return to Canada. (I'm the sponsor) so I sent in my cell phone bill, new bank account information, and my student loan showing proof of mailing address. Which is all Canadian.
I guess they ask most of the sponsors to send in extra proof unless they are living in Canada. I was really hoping we would hear something once our 30 days was up. :( We are close to 60 days and still nothing. It is really hard.

After I paid my RTRF and the date they gave me to pay by past I want to say it was 2 or 2 1/2 months until I had a DM. I was a June applicant so hopefully you will hear something soon :)
