YES!

Even though online STILL SAYS "Application Received" Lord forbid they say "Application in Process" THAT WOULD BE TOO NICE!!! Haha
So happy right now!!!

Right to Perm residence fee must be good right!?!?
I mean if they were going to deny us they wouldn't bother askingwould they??
maybe close to DM???
Anyone know how long we should expect now??

While it is definitely a good sign being asked for RPRF, remember that a lot of people pay it upfront and may not receive PR. I do not think that is what is happening here, just simply saying that paying the RPRF does not guarantee a COPR, otherwise everyone would pay upfront.

Yeah, I just can't see them ASKING for it if we were possibly to be denied, that would be odd.
But who knows. Mailing off the extra paper work I need tomorrow. Hopefully it will be there by Friday, any idea how we format the cover of the letter? The address and such they gave us, but I mean do we put our client ID number on the envelope or anything?

HOW DO I FORMAT THE FRONT OF MY ENVELOPE?

Holy poop.
I was just looking at the address they want us to mail this stuff to,

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (CPC-O)| Centre de traitement des demandes – Ottawa (CTD-O) – Family Class Unit

Citizenship and Immigration Canada | Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada

219 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1 | 219 avenue Laurier Ouest

7th Floor | 7ème étage, Section B

Ottawa ON K1A 1L1 Canada

So do i literally copy that exactly onto the front? I'm a tad confused here.

Or should we just fax it to them??
Is faxing more reliable?

That is quoting the address in french and english, so you can just write it in English:

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (CPC-O)
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Avenue West
7th Floor
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1
Canada

Ahhhh so much easier! Thank you!
Would faxing it be better? I can go into Staples and fax it... have to go get copies of some stuff anyway...

To be honest i've never heard of anyone faxing it. In my opinion I would stick to mailing via ups or fedex or something that has tracking that way you can know exactly when it is delivered. A lot of people never received confirmation from cic so I'd imagine it would be pretty scary faxing it then never knowing for a long time wether they received it or not

Okay, thanks! They gave us a fax number and email and mailing address, so I wasn't sure. I'll just mail it. Easier that way. Hopefully it won't be months before we hear something.

Did they give you a number of days that they wanted it by? (30, 45, or 60?)
Chances are if they did you won't hear until after that time is up, but if they didn't and just are waiting to get it from you then you could hear any time.

They gave me 60 days to get the passport photocopy and the PR card photos and I didn't get any update on my file until 2 weeks after that.

Also they really don't like giving in process. After they gave me DM I checked on the link and they'd started working on it a week before they gave me DM and never said it was IP.

Either of the ways are accepted by CIC or they would not have sent you an email with those instructions.

I myself sent requested documents by fax, email , and finally courier to Manila with the fax cover sheet indicating that actual hard copies of the documents would also be sent.

Fax=very fast but do not know if the fax received is clear enough.
Email= also fast but you will only receive a standard confirmation email stating it was received.
Courier=Up to 3 days before received. Only confirmation you will get is from the delivery company itself.

Well we mailed it off today, express from Texas so it should arrive by next Tuesday.

They gave us 30 days to get them the information and pay the fee. Hopefully we hear something soon then.

I see a lot of June applicants are now landing, so that should mean we should be hearing things soon!!

Best of luck to you all, and Merry Christmas!

It took 2 weeks for me to get DM after I hit the 60 days they gave me to get my stuff to them.
So it hopefully shouldn't take long after you hit the 30 days for them to get back to you.

Good luck to you and Merry Christmas, hon.

@AshleyAnne

Hey I found how someone else was able to change their address with CIC. They were gotten back to in 7 days that it was updated for them. I just saw it and hoped it would be helpful to you.

Yeah that was me :) ... Ottawa VO answered quickly and were very efficient in changing my address. It already shows the updated mailing address on ECAS.

Someone else got a reply back in 5 hours for the address change.

I think it depends on the queue. :) GL

Just signed in on my husbands ECAS for the first time, (Always used mine before hand) and it shows the mailing address as our house number, 000 then our street number 1234 and then Private Road, but it is really supposed to be;

000 Private Road 1234

Will that cause an issue??
I mean are they actually going to MAIL anything? Or email? because we sent all his passport copies in before hand, same with medicals and such. It also says you have to CONTACT them to change it. I'm 10000% sure we did our address right on everything else. I just dont know if US postal will get that right and mail to the right location. What do i do?

This is how they do the address:

Apartment House No. Street Name

City, Province or State Postal Code

If you don't have an apartment maybe that is why it says 000?

It should be for example:

2L 123 Cherry Lane
Ottawa, ON K1G 3P4
