thank u brucem for ur answer , my ECAS was updated to "in process" thats why im asking for that,i hope its not taking so long

Mine took 4 days, could have been less, that's just when I logged in. Everyone is different though

OMG!! Just logged in tonight to the ECAS and got Decision Made!

I checked on Thursday and it still had just Application Recieved. I'm so beyond excited and this is the best Christmas present ever!!!

Dec 16, 2014 — Following CBC massive coverage today on the issue, and tireless efforts of thousand Inland spousal sponsorship families to call on changes in Open Work Permit policy, it has been officially confirmed on CBC website today December 15 2014, that:

UPDATED:
- Government to launch one-year pilot program to help spouse sponsorship work permit applicants
- New pilot program would allow applicants to work, provide for family during processing period

We would like to congratulate those who have lobbied for this, and to extend holidays greeting to all 'Inland' families, wishing all of you a merry Canadian Christmas. We all look forward to seeing the new policy implementation in coming weeks.

it says online that I can also talk to a nearby embassy??
Is that true or will it help?
The mailing address is SOOOOO close to ours it is driving me crazy because I have all my application files copied here and I see the address is correct where we wrote it. Just someone messed up typing it in, but I can't risk not getting mail from them to here!
SO STRESSFUL!
And it says that it will be around 20 days before i get a response from my email... which if we are LUCKY we will already have DM by then, at least by looking at the June applicants and some of you lucky fellows!

From the looks of it you might actually be able to change it using the E-cas.
According to https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=coa
you can use it to change your address if it's being processed in Canada (I remember you're also being processed in Ottawa)

I tried that, only it tells you that you can only use a Canadian address.... So since it is our AMERICAN mailing address they messed up i can't change it.

kiwi123 yes ur right but all the 2014 spreadsheat shows that its between 30 to 40 days for the decsion made i hope that,

Even though online STILL SAYS "Application Received" Lord forbid they say "Application in Process" THAT WOULD BE TOO NICE!!! Haha

Right to Perm residence fee must be good right!?!?
I mean if they were going to deny us they wouldn't bother askingwould they??
maybe close to DM???
Anyone know how long we should expect now??
