July - 2014 Applications

I did upfront RPRF on Apr 3 and had medical upload mid-March but did not see the "2. We started processing your application on ..." yet. Hence, there is some indication here..

i completed my medicals on April 9 and i got confirmation from my Doctor after a week (16th) that it was uploaded.
i didn't keep track so i didn't know what it was received by CIC... but now i have three lines:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on July 17, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on April 23, 2015. <--- new; this line didn't exist yesterday (27) before i paid for RPRF; so i think it was added as a result of RPRF payment?

3. Medical results have been received.

All the best to everyone else who's waiting like me. It seems little strange that June folks don't have much progress for their RPRF Requests.

And let me add in my observation here. It's strange that those ones among us that got applications received + medicals done earlier haven't got RPRF yet. The two people received the RPRF had their medicals received on Apr 16ish. Mine was received in March...

Guess currently speed is totally up to the visa officers now.

That's right ...CIC works in strange ways only known to them...I guess no other choice other than apply for GCMS notes and wait...

Try this...I received my RPRF around 26'th March and I paid it. But no medical yet. The letter from CIC stated that I cleared eligibility; and that admissibility (Medical, Security and Criminality) is in progress...I have been waiting for medical request ever since (for self and spouse)...

Anyone on same boat? Btw, my last medical was 2+ years ago for work permit. So thats no longer valid...Any comments anyone?

Question: Does CIC request passport if you are from a Visa Exempt country? Or do they just send the COPR?

Apparently not, they just send copr. However I have read instances of them requesting a copy of your passport being requested.

I am also visa exempt and waiting copr. Good luck.

Me and I guess others too. I haven't seen any MR in July or Aug thread for close to a week now.
2 people with Received Date of Aug 5th got MR but a lot of others in the same time frame are still waiting.
This is frustrating
