Sounds odd that this lady got married even before he annulment decree was even issued... but that is her problem and you could not use that as an excuse in front of CIC.

Thank you HK visa office for your efficiency and professionalism. The COPR was dated 11/23/2012 so from start to finish it took us just under 4 months. Must be a record. We stumbled out of the starting blocks (81 days for stage 1) but bolting to the finish line (40 days for stage 2). Wish the rest of you a swift stage 2. Congrats! Must be an asia office thing. Our whole process was also 4 months door to door from Korea.

These must be pretty low volume visa offices... where if you have an app with no red flags it can zip through the process

I wish CPP-O was that quick but I know it'll be a minimum of 6 months before we probably hear anything from them. Might be longer at the rate they are going though.

For outland July applicants from U.S. processed by CPP-O, my personal estimate is PPR request in January or February 2013. Then month or two for PR card to arrive. (Based on some spreadsheets.)

Congrats to all of you who have received your visas. Just curious, are the couples together during this app process and are you applying inland or out of country. CIC says their priority it to reunite families asap..

We applied outland and we live together abroad. The other July applicant I know who has also gotten the COPR already was living in Canada during the process with his spouse and applied outland. Once you pass stage 1 it is no longer in the hands of Canada but the foreign visa office that is handling your outland case to prioritize who gets approved at which time. From experience reading other cases on this broad, I don't think CIC Canada or the foreign visa offices prioritize by those living apart or together during the process. It's based upon the time you applied, the complexity of your case, the proof you provide, and how you completed and organized your package. I have heard the only priority cases are those for which a parent is sponsoring a child, they are always processed as soon as they arrive at the office.
