I called CIC just now. they informed my s*censored word*ership is approved and a letter was mailed out on 17th. cheerrrrs....

and it is so strange that they emailed me refund notification and mailed me the approval letter.

what a process....

After reading your post, checked my credit card statment and yes, I also got charged on Wednesday. So do you think we will get CSQs next week for our partners? I sent my forms to the Quebec Immigration on the 11th of September.

Hi Lioha and mmacedo, I too am waiting for a response from Quebec government concerning the CSQ and undertaking of my spouse. They received my application Sept 5th and have gotten nothing so far! My card was charged on the 11th. Anyone else have a similar timeline with this and has heard something?

So desperate to get some info to make me feel better about all the waiting!!!!

So we got sponsorship approval yesterday and I've been trying to check ecas now that I have a UCI, but it only shows my name.
"If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status." - my name isn't underlined yet.

I guess I'll have to wait a few days or a week before it's updated?

Avana, do not worry! Quebec Immigration says it processes all cases in 20 working days (1 month approximately). As they charged you, this means that you package made it to them and they are working on it. Quebec issuing the CSQ is a formality more then anything else anyways. Another way for Quebec government to make some more money. I doubt there are many refusals from their side. It's more like pay the 260$, they check if you do not own them any unpaid taxes and they give your partner the CSQ

Indeed it is, but still, it's puzzling since my partner lives in Pittsburgh; I thought the CPP-O or New York would have been chosen. But who cares as long as it's being processed! It's funny because this very morning I tried to use my receipt number to inquire about my application and there was nothing there...

Ohh, neato! I'm from Pittsburgh too =D haha The New York Office(buffalo) is closed, so the closest one would have been Detroit, but since I don't think they deal with PR apps that could be why its all the way in LA. At least if you have an interview it'll be a nice vacation haha

My CSQ app was received Aug 29th, card chardged Sept 5. I called them twice, the second time being today (it's been 17 working days since I have to count for Labor Day). Apparently, they have not done anything on the file. The guy on the phone (pretty rude dood, although I tried to be nice and spoke French with him ) said he couldn't do anything before the 20 days peroid expires ...

Some lame excuses that they are busy, many people applying and this sort of BS My plan is to call on day 20 and not get off the phone until I get a guarantee that it will be issued within the time frame specified.

Not that it matters (still no updates on our file transfer), but it's a matter of principle - not only do we have to pay $260 more than the rest of the country but it takes them a month to deliver a piece of useless paper

And how do I find mine is straight forward or not ?

@prithiv - Not really sure what their definition of straightforward is, or if there even is one.... but I think mine is quite straightforward.

me: Canadian, born and raised
my boyfriend: Australian, born and raised
we have been together 3 and a bit years, living together for about 2.5... we lived in the UK together and now in Toronto where he is here on a work permit.
we have no children, we both have jobs and have never been on social benefits etc.
we have met each others families many times and I have been to Australia with him, we have tons of pictures and letters from family and friends and pretty much have been together since we first met.

we are assuming our relationship is a straightforward case, but who knows what the CIC thinks?

not sure if that really helps? but since ours "seems" straightforward, maybe that gave you an idea?

We was in love for 4 yrs and got register married in january 2012 in sri lanka coz she was not able to come india due to overstay
she has job and im not employed for past 9 months
im an indian, live in india and my girl is an sri lankan and now lives in canada

ohliuw- I have heard of people getting them within two weeks so I was hoping to hear something last week... but I didn't. I guess I'll wait for the whole 20 business days and then put in a call and see what info I can get! Let's hope you get something in the mail on Monday instead of having to deal with any more phone calls! And Ill hope to hear something by Friday because that will be my 18th day too! At least we can be grateful that it doesn't delay processing! (I know my VO doesn't care about the CSQ being issued until it's time for an interview/PPR). Next week will be our CSQ week!! I can feel it!! haha

Bit of an off-topic question, sorry but I thought I would ask here since we just got our Sponsorship approval. We are both living in Canada at the moment, and we had applied from outland in New Zealand. How do we go about updating our address? I think us living in Canada will help our application as well, do we need to let the Sydney VO know? Or can I just call CIC and inform them and they'll let Sydney know?
