So at least the time for step one approval is officially getting alot quicker. And Julyers should be getting approved fairly soon at this rate.

I saw on CIC website the processing time for India applications is 9 months. Is this true?

Between 07/01/2011 and 06/30/2012, 80% of the cases were processed in 9 months or less. The remaining 20% took longer than that.

I mailed our application on the 7th of july but until now haven't received any word from CIC yet... how can I check the ECAS that everybody is talking about and upon receiving your AOR thru email, what is the subject line of the message? thanks a lot guys!

@ Mike its a waiting game, we are all waiting, submitted mine 11th of July i guess n am still praying 2 get my approval, just kkep ur finger crossed n it wld come

You cannot check ECAS until you receive your UCI number in your AOR e-mail (AOR = Acknowledgment of Receipt) or, if you do not receive an AOR, until you receive sponsorship approval. You need the information in either the AOR (some people get one, some dont) or sponsor approval to sign into ECAS. Currently, it's about 66 days to receive AOR.. so it's just a waiting game.

hey mike0421 until you receive and aor or approval you cannot log onto ecas unless you have a prior UCI#
