as representative, did you use your account, or did you create a new account for your parents?

I have created account for my parents and upload use of representative form with the application
I just want to know what's the point of using the representative form, if it's the parents' account.
It's like it's always the parents who are behind the screen, right?
or IRCC could trace the origin of the IP address?

My parents are applicants but I have applied online on behalf of them. And there is a use of representative form that you need to submit in this situation. You have to declare to IRCC if you apply on behalf of someone. Thanks

yes, but how ircc will know that it's not your parents behind the screen, if you have access to everything?

This is my personal experience:

I applied on behalf of my dad using my GCKey account. I first answered "yes" to the use of representative. But I was later having issues to get my dad to print the form, sign it, scan it, and send it back to me (he's not very tech-savy 70 year old man). So I changed it to no and didn't attach that form. I wrote down on the invitation letter that I was applying on behalf of him appointing his challenge with technology (a short sentence, nothing long). He got approval within 10 days.
