Update: PA (spouse) rec'd an email from IRCC today, confirming that they received his Biometrics payment via IRCC Webform which was submitted on March 5, and that the payment has been added to his file. ☺

The real wait is when it gets transferred to the VO so the delay they're doing in Sydney makes it longer for us. Glad your file is faster.
Yeah, that is why it is frustrating if the first step takes so long. In my case, my Visa Office is Accra, and I have heard they are one of the slowest...

I haven't heard much about Accra, but London is notorious for delaying and having major backlog. There's a great chance that my file will end up there.

Yeah, they really need to fix the issues at the VOs. Every step is so frustrating.... But one step closer is one step closer!!

It seems like they were rerouting some of them lately because of the lockdowns, but I could be wrong.

Some files which were sent to London are now going to Vienna, Shanghai and what not. Lucky are those that have their file sent to Ottawa.

Atleast you guys know where your application was sent to. My application SA approval said - we forward you application to a visa office (no name) for further processing!! Biometrics done and updated. Medicals done but waiting to get the update in my GC key. A few posts said if they didn’t mention about the VO in a SA then it’s in Ottawa. I’m not sure if it is true though

sorry for the noob question but what do they mean about PR documents in family class? am I missing something? are those the documents my PA filled out?

PR typically refers to permanent resident. Unfortunately, there is not enough context to your post to answer your question. Could you elaborate?

Have you tried calling them?
NO, I didn't call. I just got everything and was focused on paying the biometrics fee and trying to coordinate with my daughter to get her stuff done. I am hoping that they will give the biometrics request soon. I have to send it to my daughter who is out of state at the moment and I did not want to have to mail her twice, or send her out across the state to do things twice. They need to realize that people have to travel and coordinate with jobs and such to get these things done. I did not pay the biometrics earlier because the website said that I did not have to as a US citizen. I also did not expect the medical to be so expensive and for them to not take insurance at all given that it is a physical. *Sigh ....It is what it is though.
