AOR- Feb 19
IP- March 16
Test Invite - May 22
Test Date - June 13
Decision made - June 14.
My observation is that those who had their test in June ,July or Aug will have to wait a bit longer for the Oath but could get the invitation by Dec.
Those doing the test now are given Oath invitation in just 3 weeks time.
The officer had told me in summer months its slow.

Not sure how true this is, I had my test on Sep 10, it is already October 14 and no Oath yet - more than 5 weeks have passed

Became a Canadian Citizen yesterday; the oath Ceremony was very straight forward.
I wish to thank everyone for all the support that we provide ourselves in this forum, some of us made it through the wait because of that. And thanks to the Liberal Party of Canada, if it were the Conservatives, most of us would have been eligible to apply by next year lol. The Liberals have my support in next year's election. ;)
Congrats!

Well, one thing for sure is they are not getting my vote next year

Hi,
Please update,

Test date: Sep 5.
Test: Passed 19/20 :)
Decision made: Oct 12.
Oath invitation: waiting.

Thank you

Passport application has been filed (in person) at 10am on the Monday morning after my oath. This supports the theory that the "2-3 business days" wait is really just a large margin of error to ensure that you will 100% have been put in the system, but in reality as long as ECAS has updated to complete you will probably be OK. I didn't even wait 2 business hours and they accepted my application without any issues.

Other people might have difference experiences of course, but that's how mine went just now.

I am not sure what is happening with application currently with Hamilton, ON ..is any one from Hamilton facing the same delay?. Mine is waiting from June where else other places are quite faster ....
I have same issue in Hamilton, I have finished my test in earlg july and I passed. Since then no update and no change in status. Its very frustrating.

I am Jan applicant and haven't got a test invite till now from Hamilton office. IP since March.
Your application is moving even slower than mine, I applied in jan had test in Hamilton in early July since then nothing.

Yes, for some reason Hamilton office has been really slow. I haven't seen much updates from applicants in a while.

Received Oath invitation for November 8th. Admin please update the tracker

Hi Guys,

My and my wife's applications were received on 3rd Jan 2018. We were asked for fingerprints in April, and that was completed. We have recived no communication after. Ecas status says:

We sent you correspondence on April 3, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Any suggestion, where I need to poke for the status update?

Not much you could do since your application is within the normal processing timeframe .....

Thanks :).
Don't also forget that the Bill that the Liberals passed last year eliminated the Harper second class citizen stigma that was hanging over the head of every dual citizen in this country. If most have, I still have not forgotten; that is why I am grateful to the Liberal Party of Canada.

It worked for you but not for all. e.g. Myself. I completed 4 years and I was about to submit my application and they decided to open flood gates by allowing 3 years candidates. You have spent only 3 years on PR and you have got the citizenship, i have spent 4 years (now 5 years because i submitted my application last year) and I applied immediately after the change, and all I have received so far is AOR after one year. I have sent them numerous emails and even requested GCMS notes, nothing has even been started on my application. so before you vote for liberals just because of changing citizenship requirements from 4 to 3 years think about people like us too. Voting a party should involve much more thought.

anyways I think they should have given some preference for people who were waiting for longer time, but NO. on top of it no one is really accountable. Now i have completed 1 year and still no answer.
