Just out of curiousity, when did you get SA?

Around March 8 or 9. I had stopped checking because it was taking so long and I was getting too anxious, so I'm not sure when it actually happened. I checked on the 9th and then the file transfer happened the next day.

So weird. I wonder why a couple of us haven't had theirs transferred yet. It's really stressing me out :(

Wondering if we can get the medical and police verification done ahead of time without them requesting for it ? Are they not valid for 6 months ? Do you guys who got those request, do them later after request was received for medical or police certificate or did it earlier ahead of time after linking the account ?

cheers

Medical exams can no longer be done upfront. Panel physicians won't even schedule appointments for that anymore.

You can acquire police certificates ahead of time but don't need to send them with the application. They advise beginning the process of doing so in advance of sending the application, as some can take a while to get.

Received Medical Request :)

It seems they changed the procedure, we will get it soon - our file is already at NDVO

I received my GCMS notes a couple of days ago, and it seems like my application is being processed not in London or Ottawa which I thought it would. Instead Mississauga is doing the elegibility, security and background check.

Hey Everyone,

We received an email from the Embassy of Canada in Manila. They requested the Personal and Address history form to be filled out and sent within 30 days.

My wife (in Philippines) just competed this.

I have made 5 trips to Philippines (ranging from 2 weeks to 6 weeks) and she has lived with (or stayed with me) at those locations.

When referring to these questions on the form IMM5490...

IMM5490E_Spouse_Questionnaire
Question #24 (Maintaining Contact) - Has your sponsor visited you during the period of your relationship?
Question #27 (Living Arrangements and Financial Support) - Have you and your sponsor lived together? Give dates of periods of cohabitation.

...I listed a few dates in which we stayed together. Does she have to list those as addresses when we "staying together" even if it was for a few weeks and some locations were hotels?

Thanks :-)

Our GCKEY finally says APPROVED :)
Waiting for that COPR to come in the mail from Paris

Good news! I'm still waiting for mine to be processed... I sent a registered mail (lettre recommandée avec avis de réception) with first page of letter, passport photocopy, pictures, and letter outlining height and eye colour... And still no answer. Worst part is that i didn't even get the notice of receipt acknowledging they received the mail. So a bit stressed out as the letter they sent a 30 day limit for a reply (thus till May 6, 2017).

They didn't sen me a notice of receipt, and I don't think they do so for anyone. I only knew because I had a tracking number for mine.

Really? I wonder if that's what is happening to mine since we haven't had any news on whether it's been transferred to ottawa or not. How do you request GCMS notes?

Hi,
I received my COPR last week however I'm a little confused at what I need to bring with me to ensure entry into Canada. The letter states that the form IMM5688 is needed, but I don't know how to obtain this form.
Has anyone entered Canada recently and know what the deal is at immigration.
Thanks,
Heather
