Hi guys as of now this is the update in my ecas I have 4 line already tell me if theres anyone having the same time update.


Principal Applicant

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 16, 2017
2. We started processing your application on March 1, 2017.
3. We sent you correspondence on February 17, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
4. Medical results have been received.

Feb applicant here. I received CIC's email asking me to upload IMM5669 and police certificates yesterday. However, when I logged in to my MyCIC account I noticed that they haven't updated my account so there's still no document request. As a result I can't upload anything at the moment. Has anyone experienced the same thing before?

Ours too! I am a bit worried on what's happening or why it is taking so long while others get it more or less like a month...

It is frustrating!!! We can't do anything but wait! I tried calling them but the auto reply said that I can't call from where I am located though I am calling from the US!

This website (I think this is what people refer to as ECAS? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp), shows "Decision Made" on the Permanent Resident side for me now, and MyCIC still shows "Background Check In Progress / We are processing your background check and will contact you when a decision has been made."

Does this mean I have been approved already or is that a bad thing it already shows that? My background check has showed "In Progress" since I believe Feb 28th, my file was moved to the Visa office as of Jan 28th, 2017....does this seem like good news? If it is good news, how long until I should expect my Passport Request? I was reading around 10 business days, usually? Then another 2 weeks for them to send it back?

That seems about right. My background check stayed in progress until the COPR was mailed out. If you haven't had requests for documents or been summoned for an interview, it's likely a positive result.

You can look at my signature for an idea of how long the process was. Obviously there's some variance between people but overall mine was fairly normal.

Oh nice! Yeah by the looks of your signature it looks to be hopefully by the mid-end of April I could be landing! wow!

As of when? Mine just changed to DM today. How long ago did you get a DM? I think we're some of the first Jan applicants with DM's now..

Hi Guys!
We recovered my husband's application from Canada Post (1 Month later)
I will send it today, by FedEx

I just want to double check with you the steps ...

1. Send CIC documents to the federal government with federal forms + Receipt
2. If you qualify for sponsorship, they send you a letter saying so.
3. Send that letter with the Quebec forms + Payment (277$).
4. Quebec approves you sponsorship, then in goes to the outland office to process the applicant part.

Do I need to do anything else ? Or my last step will be sending Quebec Forms ? And after that just waiiiiit ?
I feel I am missing a step

Regarding Police Certifcates... When they will request it ? It will take me at least 1 month to receive it!
Last question... My husband's passport is in English and Spansih, Do we need the translation ? It is neccesary to have it certified ? For Quebec Forms
