Hello folks,

My husband (principle applicant) received an email requesting the schedule A application and police certificates last Feb. They wanted ready by the 16th of March this week. We've managed to link his account with the application but we didn't see the section where they'd ask us to upload it, so we contacted CIC and they told us we'd have to send it through IRCC instead for now, so we did last week. Problem is how do we know that they received it or not? His account said that they started processing his application, does that mean they received it?

Please help.

If you get an email saying that they receive your request that means they get it. May I ask how did you send the police clearance? Just scanned it?

So i got my AOR on march 01 but still haven't received schedule A request. I called cic this morning and the lady told me that we haven't request the schedule A yet but we have mailed a request for medical on March 07. Is it normal to be requested for med before schedule A and SA?? Its kinda confusing

As of when? Mine just changed to DM today. How long ago did you get a DM? I think we're some of the first Jan applicants with DM's now..

I only checked ECAS yesterday and there's no date listed for DM so I don't know when it actually changed. There's also no mention of background checks. I suspect this might be a false positive?

1. We received XXXX XXXX XXXX's application for permanent residence on January 24, 2017.
2. We started processing XXXX XXXX XXXX's application on March 4, 2017.
3. Medical results have been received.

I also see on the SA record an additional line about correspondence on the decision. That seems to be a more reliable note?

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 7, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on February 6, 2017.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 14, 2017 about the decision on your application.

on MYCIC account the final decision section shows "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made." But when I click on the question mark help beside this section it shows

"We have reached a final decision on your application.
If your application is approved, we will send you instructions on what to do next.
These instructions will be sent to your account.
If your application is refused, we will send you the reason(s) for the refusal."

Is that a general notice for everyone or this is just for me?

That's the sponso side approval. Mine says the same. After researching more though if we show DM on ECAS we should expect a PPR request within 2 weeks and probably land within a month (maybe a bit more).

My wife has been asked for medical, then Police certificate and has never been asked for schedule A. I was always wondering why IRCC should ask for schedule A again?? We sent the police certificate by DHL, pricey yes but it was not available on the upload section on mycic (may be because I linked the account after I received the police certificate request)

I received an email from them on March 1st, asking to fill up IMM 5562, to send the original copy of the police record(the arabic version), to renew his passport and send copy of 2 first pages and tp pay the permanent resident fee as well. i will send everything tmr.

So what does that mean ?? where are we at?? are they gonna request the passport soon for visa??


As of March 14th:

Application status: We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: Not applicable.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

In normal cases, asking for right of permanent resident fees only happens before issuing the visa. So, I would say very good sign

I don't think so. Cz the one they sent me now is not the same as the one I sent with the application.
