Thanks for the link. Do they ask for schedule A through gckey or ecas? please i need the answer im really confused

They asked my through gckey. I wasn't able to link my account first but then I tried to write my last name in a way different than I used to and it worked( my last name as I remember it was three names together but it worked when I but only one name of them, for example I put Adam instead of John Peter Adam as I used to do). Also some members posted here about hitting space one time in the place of city of birth . You can look it up here in this thread. And also you can phone cic to inquire about your application.

Good luck

I just checked ECAS and saw a line added to my husband's permanent resident application (which changed to "in process" when I received SA on 17 February) that says: "we started processing [husband's name]'s application on February 25, 2017." I am assuming that this is basically AOR2 -- from reading other threads, it seems the Nairobi visa office doesn't do AOR2 so I'm glad to see this small update ☺️ The other site I log in on with the linked application shows no change, 'review of eligibility' is still 'in process' and medicald show as passed, but background check not started yet.

I'm feeling good about our progress!

Does anyone know if this is "We started processing your application on February 24, 2017." AOR 2. My ECAS on PA side is showing "In Process" but when I clicked it, there are three lines now, instead on two until last week.

My time line

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 19, 2017.
2.We started processing your application on February 24, 2017.
3.We sent you correspondence on February 8, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
AOR2 is an acknowledgement of receipt, mail/email sent to inform you of the reception of your application by the visa office where your file will be processed. Sometimes they dont send it.
The no. 2 line you are asking about is what follows AOR2, it means they have started working on your application at the visa office.

Hi Guys:

My wife sumbitted her schedule A background check the other day and they sent her a request letter because I guess she didn't fill it out properly.
They're asking:
Please ensure that you have provided us with all your secondary and post secondary education in Section 5.
Ensure all family members over the age of 18 have completed this form.

A) she completed section 5 properly so I'm not sure what else they want.
B) I thought her parents and sister didn't have to fill this out. Only dependents and spouses/common law partners classify as "family members"

Please help :(

Good news everyone that applied in Jan 2017. CIC is already processing those applications right now.

This is how I found out

1 (613) 944-4000 1,1,1,1,1,1 then recording states they are working on 2017 now.

Good luck everyone.

IRCC call centre : 1 888 242-2100

I've had mixed results about how helpful they are. It depends on who you talk to.

Good luck!

I am not aware of any numbers that you can call if you are outside of Canada. That goes for any GC departments I have had to contact for my spouse who lives outside of N. America.

Does anyone else know what number to call from outside Canada or the US?

I called the Ottawa number 1-613-944-4000 then press option 1, after the recorded message, select the option to speak to an agent. They are processing applications up to Feb. 7 now. Mine was delivered on jan. 16, she could not see it in the system, so possible mine is lost and royal mail uk could not provide a signature as it was a p.o.box :(

Don't panic about your medical still in progress. Ours were like that almost until we got DM.

Thanks for the info!

I sure hope you get some answers on the whereabouts of your app!

Just got my SA approval letter via email and they have transferred our application to the Manila Visa office!

Hope everyone is making progress as well!
