They signed for the package containing my wife's application on January 3rd. So it has been 33 days now. They processed the application of lady who submitted her application on January 2nd, so I was hopping I would be next.

I wouldn't worry too much O-guy. I DO think there is somewhat of a pattern they follow, but from seeing and reading many pages on these forums, there really seems to be a large gap on every step.

For example, some people are getting their AOR's in about 10 days, while some wait almost 2 months. I'm up to 3 weeks now, and also am hoping to see something show up in my junk mail soon saying "we've got your thousands of dollars and your hundreds of pages of documents"

All I got to go on is "your FedEx package was received by Tania" haha

Sent application Jan 6/14, received Jan 8/14, got AOR today(Feb 5/14). Please add me to the spreadsheet. Best wishes to us all.

How EXACTLY is everyone receiving their AOR's? like I mean, the method?

Email (we wrote this in our applications for preferred correspondence), or letters?

Like, what should I be looking for and from who? Does it say "AOR" or something in the subject heading?

Thanks!

Added, could you also please tell us your VO and the date of your meds done (if you have)?

And congrats, our second AOR!

As I've even seen from some spreadsheets, some get their AOR's in a mixed order and some who have had their letter delivered later, get it sooner than the ones who got theirs delivered it earlier.

Hi all,

The latest update on the CIC website dated 5th February is that they are processing applications received on 2nd January 2014.

All the best with your application and prepare yourselves for the good news!!! ;)

I received my AOR from Mississauga this morning also. YAY!!!
It was sent by email.

Quick question... Am I supposed to be able to sign in now and check my file? I tried using the UCI and the other F--- number but neither is working.

Spreadsheet updated. Congratulations!

Thanks CW89! :)

ok I will calm down and wait a few more days to start obsessively checking my file!! LOL

I suppose this is not a complete "first come, first served" type of thing. They will open whichever box thier hand reaches. This is not fair but I don't think fairness has anything to do with how CIC operates.

I doubt they put them in a neat line.

If I was in charge of keeping applications organized I would keep them organized by the week they arrived, making a Monday arrival possibly be worked on before a Friday arrival. And mistakes do happen, so it can be put in the wrong pile by accident. Given this, and the processing time, the longest possible wait would be two processing times in worst case

VO = Dakar
medicals = Sept 19, 2013

I was married last month and came back to Canada.
I'm in the process of finalizing my application for my spouse. I have a query and hope some could help me out.

If I travel back to India for 2-3 months after I submit my application (say End of Jan) will it affect my wife's PR application ?
I'll be here in Canada till my sponsorship is approved (which takes 33 days appx)

I need to go to India in May for 2 - 3 months.

Pls let me know.

It is my understanding that once you are approved you are ok as most of the communication will be done by email if you provide one and to the local visa office of your spouses country anyway.
