hello there im also a january 2014 applicant upfront medical december 2013,but i dont know if when is our application recieve because my wife dont give me ideas about our application maybe she want to surprise me,last march she ask me to send nine passport size pictures with my data stamps on the back and a one blank she said the pictures are already send to the visa office on the first week of april...can i ask a favor to all friends here.... can anyone give me idea what is the status of our application right now ....thank you in advance.........

Seems like awaits thing to keep as a surprise. Ask your wife what the status is.

You have been added to the sheet cgrey.
I would recommend doing your medical ASAP to make sure it will not delay your application. The way CIC works, if something is missing in your application, they just put it aside and put a "bring forward date" on it. That date can be like 2 months later, this means your application is delayed by 2 months, even if they get what they want 1 week later.

As for the AOR from visa office, Manila usually not sends it according to the Manila thread on this forum. The first communication you should receive from them is passport request.

I've heard that is not the case. However if you get a request for additional information then you should send off the extra info ASAP. I heard that they will continue to process your application as soon as this information is received. There is a thread where a member posted quite extensive info on the whole 'Bring forward date' issue. Anyway I hope he is right, otherwise my application will be delayed by 60 days, I got an email requested additional info earlier this month.
