Hi Everyone.

Ask ko lang sana kayo kasi yung husband ko naaprove na AOR ditto pero nagapply kami as inland spousal application. Me kids siya from previous wife which is we declared na they are not going here (even in the future). Still, CIC manila is requesting medical request to be done.

Yung CIC Vegreville sabi sakin is ifforward daw nila yung request s manila office para matanggap nung mga bata dun? Nagtataka lang ako kasi its past 3 weeks na wala pa din sila natatanggap. SInubukan ko magfollowup sa CIC Canada pero sabi nila ndi nila sakop and manila and thus they cant give me information or timeline for that. I called CIC Manila but as we all know wala naman sumasagot. Nagemail ako pero it will take 28 days.

I hope someone can enlighten me about this.

THanks,

Hi. Please PM each other instead

Ok you can call me dumb.
Today I got back my CSQ application from MICC through mail.
Why? Because in the excitement of receiving the SA, the urge of precessing as fast as possible, I forgot to sign the forms. :-[
Everything was ready since I sent to Mississauga, except for the signature...
I hate myself now.

oh man.. i feel for you... the worst nightmare all of us have here...
but don't worry.. at least it is something that you can rectify soon... also not sure but just being optimistic that maybe everything else is ok since no other comments or requests...

Sorry to hear that Edgehead78. That's the most common problem CIC has with applications, too.

I have good news from my end. On Tuesday, we got my partner's 5th visitor record extension, so he's good till January 10 next year. Optimistically, he could have his PR by then. I was nervous about this one, since I've been told many times that the more extension you get, the less likely they are to approve them. Last year, we thought we were about to send the PR application days after the VR extension, but we ran into roadblocks and didn't get it sent. This time, I told them that SA should already be done by the time they processed the VR extension, so I was very happy that that was indeed the case.

I was worried about a few other things on that VR extension. I had written in the cover letter that bank statements were enclosed, since I am self-employed and couldn't send a letter of employment, but I forgot to include the bank statements. Apparently, that didn't concern them too much.

We mailed it on the very last day of the previous VR's validity (actually late the night before), but we've done that before with no problems, so that didn't concern me too much, even though they say to send it a month before. Last year, I thought to double-check the expiry date one evening and found to my horror that it expired that day! Since the mail had already gone out, we went to do it online and I paid the fee, only to find that the online application now required the payment to be done in the middle of filling out the forms, so I had to pay it again. This left us with two receipts from last year, so I was a little worried that I might have sent the wrong one with this year's application, but I was fairly certain from the date stamps on the receipt emails.

My partner has filled out all the forms for the CSQ, so as soon as I get paid from my last job, we can hopefully send that away.

Oh no :/ At least MICC is fast to process the CSQ applications, so you're not stuck to wait in a month queue again like for SA.

I really don't expect to receive any AOR from Manila. All we can do from now on is sit down for months and pray for fast processing.

Why not? Manila VO doesn't normally send AOR?

No - Manila does not send an AOR.

Thank you for your kind words. I know its not so bad, at least its processing for CIC. Anyway Manila will not touch my application for how many months. :)

Zarilenth, thank you. I would have gone out of my mind waiting for AOR from the Manila VO when my application gets there.

But this brings up an important question. After AOR and SA from CPC-M, how will know my application actually arrives in Manila? I should have attached a tracking chip......lol

No problem! :) I'm not too sure about that.. My app was forwarded to my VO last Friday, and I've got not clue if it's there or not. I guess in a couple weeks you can order GCMS notes to check up on your file!

You have to take their word for it, that Mississauga forwarded your application to CEM.
Will be many months unfortunately before you hear anything from CEM.
Good Luck
