Jolyn I found this information on the MICC website:

If your undertaking application is accepted, a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ - Québec Selection Certificate) will be issued to the person you are sponsoring. The MICC's decision will be transmitted directly to the Canadian Visa Office for the sponsored person's country. The person you are sponsoring will then submit his or her application for permanent residence.

You only have to send it to the VO if they didn't get the one from MICC for some reason. Sometimes they get lost somehow.

thank you :)

I really don't expect to receive any AOR from Manila. All we can do from now on is sit down for months and pray for fast processing.

Today ECAS now shows our Application "In Process". :D

Wow so fast! Even with the little CSQ detour. Let's hope the decision comes fast and the rest of us will be having it too! I'm hoping CIC's statement of making this year's applications faster done will really hold! Especially with our slower VO's.

Hello.
When applying to sponsor a spouse (outland VO Beijing), after the SA, what's next?
Will my ECAS account (sponsor's) show the status for my spouse's PR application updates or will she get an AOR and her own client number so she can check?

How long after SA does it usually take for AOR 2?

Thanks everyone and keep patient

Hi Everyone.

Ask ko lang sana kayo kasi yung husband ko naaprove na AOR ditto pero nagapply kami as inland spousal application. Me kids siya from previous wife which is we declared na they are not going here (even in the future). Still, CIC manila is requesting medical request to be done.

Yung CIC Vegreville sabi sakin is ifforward daw nila yung request s manila office para matanggap nung mga bata dun? Nagtataka lang ako kasi its past 3 weeks na wala pa din sila natatanggap. SInubukan ko magfollowup sa CIC Canada pero sabi nila ndi nila sakop and manila and thus they cant give me information or timeline for that. I called CIC Manila but as we all know wala naman sumasagot. Nagemail ako pero it will take 28 days.

I hope someone can enlighten me about this.

THanks,

I just received my SA email today saying application transferred to VO. Please update my entry, many thanks.

After SA, all you have to do is to wait, assuming that your not applying from Quebec.

The sponsor's ECAS always shows the status of both applications. You can see the updates of the applicant status by clicking the applicant's status box. From what I found, the applicant can check his/her own status by using the file number FXXXXXXXXX in ECAS.

Reception of AOR 2 depends on your VO. Some send, some don't. I suggest you read the thread of your VO, if there is one, so you can see what Beijing usually does.

Thx. Your answer helps.
unfortunately no BJ VO threads... There is one on China but it is too old (before time frame changed from 4-6 months to the current 9 month period)

I'm not completely following everything you said because of the Filipino. You might want to keep in mind that almost nobody in this message thread reads Filipino. Anyway, you do have to have medicals done on all kids, even if they are not going to Canada ever. The reason is that they cannot refuse them later, so they need to stop the whole family now if there is a problem. I have heard of quite a few people who have problems because their former wife is unco-operative with getting the children examined, but you have to put every effort into getting it done. This is not a problem that is unique to Manila.

If not, I think Jolyn here is filipina so she might be able to help you.
