If you click on "Application Received" it might open up a new link. That's where mine says Medicals Recieved.

Thanks for the tip, mine says the same! :)

I think this was missed on the spreadsheet.

I wasn't sure which day to put - the 18th, the day she wrote that, or the day she actually gets the letter. I was going to wait until she said something or someone else noticed :P

Still not sure which day to put. What do you guys think?

Don't worry about it. Some people never got the "medicals have been received" line on ecas and everything was still OK! ecas is not very reliable... if it says "medicals have been received", it means that they are matched with your file, but if it doesn't say anything... it doesn't mean anything! :-) most likely it's there, and medicals ( first time ones, sent with the application) are very very rarely a problem, so no need to worry about it.

I have the same case it only says Application Recieved. :P :P

probably the 18th as that's what it says " we sent you a letter on the 18th" - that's the day she got approved most likely!

Hi guys...

The following page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

says:

"The processing times are calculated in calendar days."

So that means the CIC and visa offices also work during weekends (Saturdays + Sundays) then?!

no - it doesn't mean that they work during week ends ( although some people did get their AOR on saturdays!) but it means that it's much easier to count the number of days that way - rather than having to count 5 days per week etc. With Calendar days, you can just add :-) probably to avoid confusion... so 21 days = 3 weeks. easy! :-)

Don't worry fandv, you are probably not far behind! You can try to call CIC soon?

Yes call CIC if it has been more than 21 days.

Actually - it's not that much the number of days that matter, but which date they are processing. Currently it's 29th of January. Since your application was received 30th of January, you have to wait until next week when they move the date - if you call now, they will tell you to call back later once the date on the website is passed your application date.
It'll come soon!

Thanks for the encouragement guys ^^ *keeping my fingers crossed*

By the way, do they really update that page weekly? Because we saw the "Processing applications received in November X, 2012" blurb for quite a while....I think that statement wasn't updated in weeks, until it finally was on 20th Feb....?! :)

they normally do... sometimes, when it gets messy ( like the few last weeks where they processed applications in November, December and January at the same time), they don't update it for a few weeks, but normally it changes every week and it "jumps" a week or 10 days every time... then it slows down and only moves 1 day - then jumps 2 months like this week! everytime CIC implements some sort of change (last year, in January it was the new GCSM instead of CAIPS, then new type of forms with the bar codes, etc), it messes up, then goes back to normal, then new changes... a roller coaster to keep everybody interested!
