Hahhaha..Thank you! We sent our application on Nov.16,2012 in Missasauga , Nov.20,2012 Missasauga receive our mail . Feb.6 2013 We receive a mail from Missasauga ( My husband approve as sponsor on Jan.31,2013) The mail said My Application was sent to Manila .We got UCI and Application number but Everytime We check on their website about our Application status Nothing in there yet! I hope I can get email from Manila soon..

I see so your 2012 applicant. Anyway all you can do for now is to wait, wait and wait.

Happy days. The horse arrived yesterday afternoon bearing the glad tidings that, as of 15 Feb, we have stage 1 approval. A celebratory glass or two of Chile's finest was consumed as a result.

You probably have at least six months of waiting with no real communication unless something is missing (or the VO misplaces it).

Finally got my stage 1 approval on Feb 12th , CIC misspelled my email address so I never got the message.

Wow they missppelled your email address eh...that's weird! One would think they would get it correct, considering they now have the barcode system, which is supposed to prevent these things from happening!

By the way, how did you find out that they got your email address wrong? Did you call the call centre to find out why you hadn't got an AOR, and they told you they had sent an email, which you never got? Or...??

I called the call center asking about my status, they said it was sent to my email address, I verified my email address with them and found out they misspelled it. They gave my ID# over the phone.

Now onto stage 2...

So the barcode system is not working optimally/properly then...because the form in which the sponsor's email address is specified (IMM 1344) has barcodes, which are supposed to prevent the agents from entering the email addresses manually ;D

They could also have an autocorrect that "helps."

I put you in as Stage 1 approval Feb 19th. We don't have a spot for file transfer, just Stage 2 AOR. If Cairo emails you to tell you they got the file, then we can add that date. (Stage 2 AOR isn't common from what I understand.)
