well is Vienna sends you an email with the UCI for your wife (applicant), then yes - that's AOR! it means that they have your file, and they have assigned a UCI to your wife.

Yes, trying hard not to.... =/ everytime I call the CIC, they just tell me that they're still working on apps arriving on 29 Jan (mine did on 30 Jan), so in their eyes I am "still fine".
But the reality is I am literally the only one in the Jan 2013 spreadsheet who hasn't got an AOR....well goldenkagi didn't either, but it doesn't matter as her husband was approved to sponsor...

According to tracking, my application got to Mississauga, so it didn't get lost or anything...

So I don't know, may be the CIC returned the package to me then...!! Arghh! (no forms are missing though...all are dated and signed...no missing documents either...)

CIC usually updates their site every Wednesday, hopefully they will be working on your file by then.

Don't despair!! your file has not even been in Mississauga for 1 month! so... it's still early! I'm sure your package didn't get sent back... it's probably somewhere in the mail room, waiting for an officer to open it. once opened - approved!
Some applicants from November are still waiting for an answer, and were told that their file have not been opened at all - so it's "logical" that they are trying to finish the november apps first, and then move on to end of January!
The process is frustrating of course - but stage 1 is fairly "easy" as very few people get denied... so just be patient - and you will need it for stage 2 as well.

Hey!

I can create a spreadsheet for January if you want ( you can see in my signature the one for December, I could create the same for January if you want), but somebody would need to be in charge of it. It's nothing complicated, and I'm willing to do the "technical support" whenever needed (doing that for november and december, so january can just be added!), but I don't want to be the one updating it, as I am done with the PR process, and my time on the forum varies...

Anyone interested in maintaining the spreadsheet? It comes with a detailed explanation and it's a good opportunity to learn how to manage a spreadsheet!

You'll get the medical form from the doctor. They are no longer online

Whether or not you submit the medical depends on your visa office. The medicals are valid for 1 year, so if your VO does applications in a year or less, include it. If it takes over a year, then you wait until they request it. VOs like London, Ottawa include the medicals. VOs like Islamabad and Pretoria wait until the request.

Sponsor = Canadian PR/Citizen
Applicant = non-Canadian

Got sponsorship approval! Letter came!

I was approved to be a sponsor Feb 18!! Can you update the spreadsheet? I'll be so glad to change from orange to blue like everyone else lol!
