When I updated Ottawa on my forms, they didn't say "We don't know who you are" so I'm taking that as a good signPolgas said:Yeah thats what i thought. Hope we can hear from them regarding our VO AOR.
Haha good for you ami! Btw what did they say?amikety said:When I updated Ottawa on my forms, they didn't say "We don't know who you are" so I'm taking that as a good sign
All they said was to fax the forms. I wonder if they even looked at my file to make sure they had it!Polgas said:Haha good for you ami! Btw what did they say?
Woaw that was fast! *fingers crossed*Lv.f said:Remrov, a fellow Vienna(VO)-er and Dutchie, just got COPR a few days ago. He got sponsorship approval in October ! That's so quick. Keeps me hopeful. Maybe a bit too hopeful haha.
Yeah....32 days and still no AOR... =(amikety said:Other than fandv I suspect we'll be quiet for a while.

Hmm try to call them just to make sure.fandv said:Yeah....32 days and still no AOR... =(
Tracking said my package got to Mississauga, so it's not like it got lost.
Was my package returned? Possible but unlikely as I have no missing forms (I scanned all the forms and I can confirm that we submitted all of the required forms). All were signed and dated.
I'm starting to think that may be my package size (6,4 kg / 14,08 lbs) scares the CIC!
I did at least 4 times, and so far the agents' computer system said nothing.Polgas said:Hmm try to call them just to make sure.
If they gave you your UCI that means your application is in there they only give UCI and File/Immigration Number during the AOR stage. So it means your okay though you cant access your ECAS due to some technical difficulties on their system i guess.fandv said:I did at least 4 times, and so far the agents' computer system said nothing.
Some things to think about:
1. I sent our package to the Robert Speck address. Signed by an "A SANAN". Anyone else got their package signed by that individual?
2. Ifffff my package was returned, would the agent know that by checking their system?
3. An agent gave me my UCI number but I can't login to Ecas with it. Using the dash sign (in the middle of the 8-digit UCI) or not makes no difference whatsoever.
But see, before becoming a Canadian citizen, I was a PR (landed in 1999). Then I applied for citizenship in 2003, and according to the agent, my UCI exists just because of that citizenship application I had back in 2003......Polgas said:If they gave you your UCI that means your application is in there they only give UCI and File/Immigration Number during the AOR stage. Oops sorry didnt know that ur a citizen. Yes your old UCI is still existing. Anyway yeah thats a little bit strange knowing that your package has been recieved by them according to postal tracking. Ours was sent thru Canada Post recieved Jan.31 as per tracking and signed by the name MAHMOOD.fandv said:But see, before becoming a Canadian citizen, I was a PR (landed in 1999). And if my sponsorship package had been opened, the agents would know that from their system. Everytime I called, they said that they didn't see any indication of the sponsorship package's being opened/scanned...
Yup ultra strange. Yours arrived on 31 Jan (later than mine, 30 Jan) and not only did you already get your AOR, you also got the sponsorship approval as well.Polgas said:Oops sorry didnt know that ur a citizen. Hmm i feel you bro. Just think positive for now, we all know everything is gonna be okay.fandv said:Yup ultra strange. Yours arrived on 31 Jan (later than mine, 30 Jan) and not only did you already get your AOR, you also got the sponsorship approval as well.
And I see that 80% of the February applicants got their AOR already, 6 of which got sponsorship approval.
The only comfort I have now is in knowing that the CIC site is still saying that they're still working on apps received on 29 Jan!
