If you're visa exempt, you don't send in your entire passport. Ottawa usually has you email a copy of the picture page. Not sure how Vienna does it.

Netherlands is a visa exempt country I am pretty sure.. And we got sponsorship approval feb 19 so basically I am in the second stage right? Technically??? :P

I did include copies of my expired passport. I worked with a consultant and he explained my situation in a separate letter (in my application). Hopefully they understand! ::)

Thanks Iay!

By the way people...if you go here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

You'll see that the last update on that particular webpage was on 20 February...literally yesterday!

And there's a snippet that says:

"For Step 1: If you live inside Canada and it has been longer than the time shown above since you applied, please contact the Call Centre. "

So how do we determine the current cut off? Logically I guess 20 Feb + 21 days then (i.e.: 13 March)? If after that we haven't got an AOR, then we should contact the call centre?

the website for stage 1 is updated every wednesday! and it says "in you live inside Canada" because the number is only reachable from inside Canada, but it's about outland applications ( inland applications have a very different timing).

The time changes.... so the way to calculate will vary! essentially it's best to go by the date indicated on the website. So if it says that they are working on Feb 21st applications and yours arrived on Feb 20th, then you can contact them.

Hi guys,We sent our Application on NOv.20,2012 and We receive a mail from Missasuga on Feb 7,2013 that my Husband approve as sponsor. Im just confused kasi My Husband only paid $550 for the Sponsor and Principal Applicant. And Now we are trying to check our status online but nothing in there yet. Now,We are confused about the Right of Permanent Residence Fee $ 490 . Do We need to pay it now?Or We just need to wait na magemail ang Manila for requesting the payment of The Right of Permanent Residence Fee.If We need to pay the Permanent Residence Fee right now,How can We do it?How can We pay the Right of Permanent Residence FEE?Please help us guys !I dont want to delay our application bec I really missed my Husband sooo much!

Hi April, my husband paid my $1040 up front. As far as I know if you wait for them to ask you to pay for it it will probably delay your application. Maybe a more senior member can tell you more about it :) good luck!

Aaahh..Thank you sooo much for your response. Now,I need to ask my husband to pay the Right of Permanent Resident tommorrow ( Saturday in canada) . How can He pay it ? Once again,Thank you soo much!

Did your husband pay online April? It's the same process, except he's paying the RPRF. I'm just not sure how you will go about sending it.. (guys, help?) Don't forget your UCI too.

NO !He didnt pay the other fees online. He only pay through bank before He send our application in Missasauga but He didnt pay the Right of Permenent Resident yet.Coz He thought,When we receive the mail from Missasauga that he got approve as sponsoR,the immigration will send him another email for requesting the Right of Pemanent Residence. But I heard it can cause delay if You will wait for them to email you about requesting the Right of Pemanenet Resident. So,Now I will ask him to pay it soon as possible but the problem is He dont have a printer on his home if He will pay online.
