I'm under the impression UCI and Client ID# are pretty much the same thing. One to a person. I think Client ID is the term used if you enroll through MyCIC, which I did. I didn't get a UCI.

The file number works for both people... I think...eventually. It's kinda hard for me to gauge this being new at it and Ecas not working properly. My husband can log in with the file number too. Same one.

UCI is for each person. So the sponsor gets one in stage 1, and the applicant gets one in stage 2. It stays with you for all your life, for any dealings with CIC. it's a 8 digits number
File Number is given at stage 1 and starts with an F. it's assigned to the current file, and can be used to check ecas... but once this PR thing is over ( and it will!) then the file is closed - until you start applying for citizenship etc!

My receipt number never worked for check on ecas - only sponsor UCI and File number. I only got my own UCI ( I'm the applicant) once I got my COPR...

and - not everybody get an AOR, but everybody gets something about approval (either email or snail mail...).

Hi there, I just logged into ECAS and saw date for the firs time and so I wanted to clarify something.

First off, we got sponsorship approval this week (yay!) and I was curious about the stage 2 AOR.

At the moment our On-Line Services show:
Sponsorship Application Status
Application Received

Permanent Residence Application Status
Application Received

Is the above PR Application Status the Stage 2 AOR?

Well, chalk me up as well for a "decision made" and a "letter has been sent". One would have thought it would be both cheaper and faster to press a bloody button and send an e-mail. Apparently this letter was sent 15 February. I guess they must have strapped it to a horse, pointed in the direction of the UK and smacked its backside in the hope it would find its way here. :

Took mine more than 2 weeks to arrive from Mississauga to Toronto. Good news is that in the same time they forward your application to the foreign office.

I don't believe so. Mine has said that from the beginning, before we received sponsorship approval or AOR ( first stage ). I am sure you will receive an email about second AOR, like you did with the first AOR. =) good luck!
