Can someone please tell me what financial documentation you submitted with your application?
And for the life of me I can't remember where I worked in 2008 - I was in university and worked at some random call centre in Ottawa. Will my application be returned if I can't find out this information?
Please also tell me what supporting documentaion you included - So far I have pictures, flight itineraries, facebook messages, photocopies of cards from our wedding, and phone records.
The only financial documents we submitted were Option C and our joint bank account - but that was for proof of joint account. I personally submitted no account statements or W2's (T-4 for the USA).... nothing of that type. I wrote where I worked and left it at that.
Proof -
- Cards, all handwritten. From family and each other
- Photos, we had about 12, 4 from wedding. I handwrote names on all of them
- Trips, I separated each trip, itinerary, ticket stubs if possible, passport stamps for me. I also included tickets from a museum trip we took after I moved here
- Yahoo/Skype chat logs. For Yahoo, we had over 700 pages, so I printed a small sample (4 conversations turned out to be 70 pages alone) and also the archive page showing our user names, date and time, and size of conversation. Skype was mostly video calls, so it was copy/paste, make it look pretty and move on.
- Facebook, wall-to-wall and Facebook messages. I removed most pictures from wall-to-wall as they were just silly cat pictures that didn't prove much besides we both like cats.
- Cohabitation, our lease, joint bank account, joint cell phone account, letter from father-in-law, my spouse benefit card
The lady at Canada Post told us we sent too much.
