Thank you all for your congraturlations and your support! It is a big relief to hear of approval! Now I just need it in writing :)
I asked if it had gone to Vienna VO and she said it was "in process" but is usually sent within a few days of approval. Step one done :)
Good luck to those still waiting!

Ok I just got off the phone with the call centre. It only took 3 mins to get through, so I guess Friday is their less busy day!

Anyway, the lady could not see any change i my status. She did confirm that it doesn't look like there is anything missing from it, simply they are working on it!

I asked about the whole website processing times thing, like others have said, its just an approximate.

She also confirmed that effective the last coup,e of weeks, everyone that provided an email address will receive an AOR. I did say that some people in our group haven't gotten them, she said its a newer thing, that's why.

Lastly, she said that regardless of the times posted people should give themselves a realistic wait time of about 2 months!

Anyway, this isn't exactly what I wanted to hear but I'm happy there isn't anything missing from my file and that they could at least confirm it was In process.

I apologized fr calling and she reassured me that this is exactly what their service is for and why she has a job so now I encourage everyone to call if you have a client ID and if you are around the 2 month mark or if your app was delivered on or after jan25.

Happy weekend everyone..Im off to niagara falls for so e st.pattys day festivities! Cheers!

Same here, we talked to immigration about an hour ago. Wait time was about 1 min, astonishing!

We were told they are verifying that my sponsor has never received welfare, which can take up to one month from the date they start PROCESSING (not the receive date.) We were also told that no additional information has been requested from us, and that we will NOT be receiving an AOR, only an approval / decision letter.

After reading a VERY odd post on the forum last night, written by someone who's spouse is reporting them as a "marriage of convenience", I was curious what that term meant. I googled it and countless articles came up about a ton of reforms that are being done to the spouse / common-law family category throughout March. Its interesting reading... makes me very sad for any Canadians who have been duped into a "scam marriage". But I'm also relieved measures are being taken to protect our (soon to be) fellow Canadians. This could also explain why our applications are taking longer than expected... as they are now going over apps with an even finer toothed comb. I read some very sad stories about Canadians who had been used for PR and apparently there are some advocate resources available to help identify if you're being dooped and what you can do if you have been dooped. I'm not saying anyone here is in that boat, only that there IS help available if you ever discovered you were. Apparently THOUSANDS of marriage / immigration scams are pulled every year. To ward against that, all new PRs are now inelligible to sponsor a new spouse for the first 5 years of PR, and in April they expect to make all new spouse PRs for relationships under 2 years, conditional to a successful marriage for the two years following PR approval.

pls guys, can you share the no. where we can call..

You have to push several buttons to get to a live person. My husband phoned from within Canada so I am not sure what exactly you have to push. But someone sent me this link:

thanks so much :)
