As promised...Missmini, I got my sponsorship approval letter in the mail today. Sent March 20th, so about 13 working days for it to get to East Asia.

thaaaaaaank u Amoss glad that u remembered...13 business days is not that bad, not slower than other things...so far i noticed for us, anything coming from Canada takes around 2 weeks (10 business days) so this should b the same yaaay first step is really officially over for u....soon u'll get the AOR from Buffalo and maybe the visa soon after

even if they stopped working some people might still get emails sent late by them u never know I'll try to stay away again for a few days if possible....talk to u later

I will either call or email the New Delhi office and request for PPR at the end of the process (i.e. when they are ready to issue my visa)

A worst case sienario, if I have to take x month(s) vacation, I may lose my job? ??? ???

Gosh, I hope not. Do you think your employer would give you some time off or is this something you'd rather they not know?

Ur jan 19 right?! mine is jan 18. sad. been waitng... still nt in the systm.

Yes, I got it through email and this it the first communication I've had from CIC. You're correct I'm Jan 19, but the email only arrived today. Hopefully, you'll hear from them on Monday. I wasn't in them system till this morning either, so don't worry about that part.

Yes, it came by email. One more week and you should hear from them too. Seems like they've finally gotten their act together, although a bit late.
