Oh no!!! I hope you'll sell it soon... I'm in Ontario now and trust me I don't want to come home 'cause I feel at home!!!

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I haven't been more active on the forum lately but we got really busy with planning and packing all our stuff.
I'm glad to say we made it safely to Canada!

I wish all the best to all of you who are still waiting.
The waiting game will be over before you can imagine!

Congratulations Italian Stallion! I hope you're enjoying you honeymoon!

Abuffon, when do you plan to land? How's the packing going?

Take care,
Babs

Glad to hear you safetly made it to canada! Hope your husband has no problems adjusting! Best wishes!

Hey Babs, glad to hear you made it to Canada. We're planning to move by the end of October... but we're not packing yet ???

What province are you staying in? I'm going to stay in Ontario and just found out I'll have a gap of 3 mo. before I get my OHIP card so I have to buy a health insurance for that period... did you have the same issue?

Good luck to everybody!

Thanks CanuckyInItaly we came in Italy today after almost a month in London, ON and you have no idea how terrible, sad and mad I'm now. When i close the eyes trying to sleep i can see Canada and i feel more depress to be in this shit country. I'm so happy for you guys, how is the life in Vancouver?

Hi guys!
I'm sooo sorry it took me sooo long to reply!
My days here go by in fast forward mode. I'm working all the time and the fact I don't have an internet connection at home yet, doesn't help!

@ abuffon: before I left, I bought an online travel insurance (Columbus Direct) to cover the three months before MSP (I'm in BC) kicks in. The policy I chose only covers me from the day of my departure, until the date of my return ticket (that I'm never going to use). Make sure your return ticket is at least 90 days after your departure date. How's packing going?

@ Italian Stallion: I'm falling in love with Vancouver! :-) We found a nice apartment in downtown: this way we don't need a car. Skytrain is a pretty quick way to go around the city! I take it every day to and from work. We're a 10 minute walk from English Bay, 20 minutes from Stalney Park, we see False Creek from our windows... I couldn't be happier than this!
Let us know when you get here! :-)

Hi guys,

I have a question. I need to pay the tax online.

On the link https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/efee/efee.do, I have to click on "Immigration Applications for Persons Outside Canada" and open a second page with multi options.

I have to select the first, "Permanent Residence" - Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($ 490), or not?

The other options, "Family class", are clear but i don't know if I have to select and pay the the first.
I hope I explane well what i need and you could help me.

Thanks buddy.

Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,

the total amount you have to pay is $1,040.00:

- Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490.00
- Sponsorship application (per application) $75.00
- Principal applicant $475.00

Wishing all the best and a super fast application process! :-)
