Interpretation of CAIPS file. Help needed !

guyz, I have this guy's caips copy which he sent me yesterday in good faith. I have gone thru the entire caips
n to my amazement there is not even a single comment by the VO.

What i suggested him yesterday, is to wait to hear formally from the CIC.
adding to this: the points tally shows nothing;

so lets wait for sometime before jumping to any conclusions.

Because decision made is only recently and CAIPS were extracted on older date. Thanks

mitali, if the file hasn't been looked into yet, how can a Decision be made on it ?

CAIPS were extracted on older date and file was looked at very recently just few days back. If he orders another CAIPS he can see the decision made or officer's comments there if they really have made any decision. Thanks

A letter comes with the CAIPS with instructions on how to request removed sections. Some information will not be given to you, something that relates to another person not named in the release or confidential information perhaps. I requested to find out what had been removed and it turned out to be nothing earth shattering, but they did provide the missing information stating it was removed in error.

The CAIPS file isn't that old. And seeing my caips file, as no comments have been made by any Visa Officer, I am guessing I haven't been assigned a VO yet!
Even if that is the case, how can I get 'Decision Made' on my e-cas, if no one has even processed my file yet ?
I am really confused! :-X

Whats the date on your CAIPS when they obtained for you? If you want to make sure order another CAIPS but that would take time or you can send them urgent email or wait for official confirmation.

There is still a possibility decision made can be an error. Wait for official confirmation or you can send them urgent email.

Can any body tell me about CDU ??

In my CAIPS , after my file no CDU 2-02-2012 is written . What is that ??
Somewhere in page , SETTLEMENT FUNDS MET is written but in other page Funds = $00000000 is written .
What is that ??? Can I be asked for POF updates again ??

Hi AB,

I would suggest you send a CSE to your VO, apprising him of the fact that you have recently acquired your GCMS notes and according to that no such action has been taken by him and yet you see a "Decision made" status on your Ecas. Request him for some advice as you are confused and distressed.

Better not discuss your CAIPS/GCMS with your visa officer. If you want to email just ask about decision made and don't talk about CAIPS/GCMS. Thanks

It cud be a system glitch, let him wait for another 10 days. everything will be clear.

I guess, we are baffeling the entire situation.

CSE wont help here, since CIC generally forwards a generic reply in such cases.

Hi!

CAIPS are like hidden notes buried some where by some immigration officer. If you disclose that and openly discuss that with them who is going to like ? I know this is our right to get this information under access to information act but you should also consider human nature.

This is just my opinion not to discuss your notes with your immigration officer and I have read the same somewhere on internet by people and I agreed with them. You are fully entitled to disagree if you like and can discuss if you want to.

I agree with starme above best thing for him is just to wait and see. Thanks
