I think this is the response of US latest policy, which is that international students could have 3 years OPT.
In the news, we can easily find that a lot things we have discussed in this thread.
It should be changed and it will

Yep, I think they realize that why take chances with someone from abroad with unverifiable work exp while they already have tons of people already been here for at least 4 or 5 years and been working and paying taxes all year long. However, I don't really like the way they award more points for int'l students. Why don't they just make different draws for each category ? let's skilled workers compete with skilled workers, students vs students. That would be fair for both streams, and Canada gets the best of both worlds.

What happens to international students who are working on PGWP in Alberta? With a B.Eng, full-job, and 8.0 IELTS score, I only got 441 points. I have the Alberta nomination but it does not give me the 600 points in the express entry system. My employer cannot apply for LMIA as it is very costly to them and almost impossible to be positive in this job market. I have lived in Canada over 6.5 years now and still can't make it to the min scores required to get an ITA. It would be great if they can assign more points to international students on PGWP.

Pnpab,
Why dont you get 600 points with AINP nomination?

I think students should be relaxed after reading this

I think people who think canadian immigration is unfair should stop commentingand relax now.

There's so much hope for us students after reading all these links posted. The question is how soon before they are implemented. I really hope we see changes from the next draw :D

Goodluck to all of us sitting below 450. Sometime soon we would look back at this thread and :)

Well, you can be relaxed because you already got the nomination. It's getting harder and harder everyday. I'm not sure you can even get the bc pnp if you apply now.

No one knows what problem i have faced while getting my immigration. I did one year course and decided not to apply for 2nd year course. Feb 2015 to june 2015 was hell for me how i have cleared my ielts only i know that. I moved from toronto to Vancouver within 3 days of time and never had lazyness for my career. You can also move to provinces who are giving easy nomination i didnt waste my single moment. I had 5 months plans in advance and it worked because i am here for good career not for household work.

I worked in multinational bank in India but did small restraunt works so everyone has story and if anyone will say i have a good destiny then noo i did everything by myself and my plan i didnt even consult but yes i researched a lot like applying pr before my work permit expires

Brother plan and god is with you :)

Guys,
HAve any of you applied for EE while on a study permit? I need to renew my study permit (graduating next April 2017) but I'd like to apply under EE this year.
Do you think it can jeopardize my study permit extension?
PS: I have already 2 degrees, which gives me 135 points under EE.

Visa or study permit? If you have not graduated from a uni/college, are you going to apply for EE under FSW?

I have 2 degrees from abroad which allow me to apply for EE. Yes, under FSW.
I have to renew my study permit.

Then you should be fine. EE and study permit extension do not have anything to do with each other. However, if you are applying with two ECA'd degrees , 3 yrs+ foreign working exp, 7.5 ietls, under 30 yrs old, your crs is only 410.

You need CLB9 in all sections to get 450+
