My mother is an Indian citizen currently in Canada on a super visa. She would like to go to the UK for 4-5 months. Are there any insurance providers in Canada that provide insurance for super visa holders?

She is only a Canadian visitor so not sure how this impacts her ability to qualify for insurance to visit the UK. She would be applying as an Indian citizen.

Your mom being a visitor in Canada doesn't impact the travel insurance coverage.
I think it makes sense to get either a provider in Indian or UK for the travel insurance.

The Indian insurance companies are refusing to cover her as she is not currently in India and has been in Canada for over a year. The UK travel insurance companies will only cover UK residents. I have been advised to get her coverage from a Canadian insurance provider hence looking for recommendation.

You can certainly try the large Canadian insurance companies but given she is only a visitor in Canada think you may struggle to get coverage for her from them as well. Supervisa is no meant for people to live in Canada permanently. Her best option is likely to return home to India before traveling to the UK.

You can buy an insurance from any Canadian insurance company.

Please find out if you can get coverage from any Canadian insurnace proivder. It would be useful information for other supervisa visitors that have stayed for extended period of time in Canada.
Many others may face similar situations.

Agree but would be very careful reading the fine print and filling out application. The fact that the mother’s actual home is India not Canada and has no medical coverage in Canada except emergency medical insurance (that will likely be cancelled when they leave Canada) may complicate things. People are under the false impression that their parents’ home is Canada when they come on a supervisa but they only visiting your home in Canada. Their home is in their home country. The length of supervisas are lulling people into the false sense that parents are living in Canada not visiting .
