So it looks like my process is finally nearing the end. Received 2 letters last week, one from Vegreville saying my app is completed, and the other from the local office in Niagara Falls for an interview on May 12. They want me to bring the ROPR fee and 2 PR card photos, so it looks very promising.

It's been a year and 5 months for me, so happy when it will all be over!! ;D

So happy for you Dragon..I got my landing interview letter today as well :-*

So I finally had my landing interview yesterday. Everything was so quick and easy. They just asked me to verify all my information, then they told me that I would be receiving my PR card in 6-8 weeks.

All in all, the entire process took 18 months. So glad its over!!!

I also had my landing interview yesterday and it was really easy and casual.
The lady had been to Brazil a couple times, so she asked me a bunch of questions about carnival.
All I had to do was check all my information, make sure everything was right.. answers some questions and sign papers.
I told her I'm planning to go to Brazil June 21st so she gave me a paper to fax so I can get my PR faster =)
Otherwise, she said I can contact the consulate in Brazil and they will give me a one entry visa!

Good luck to all of you!! :-*

Hi everybody,

i would like to ask some info about photos. I will have a landing interview some time soon and i know i have to bring a couple of photos. Do u know what are the requirements for the photos(like passport photos)? they are the same that are going to finish on my permanent resident card or i have to apply later with another photo and what are the photo specs for a permanent resident card ?. anyone can advice me about this? also do you know how long are the photos valid for before i submit the application for permanent resident card?

Thanks for your help!

hey, my husband has his interview tom 22jun, is it possible to get SIn card as soon as you are landed. do they give you any document or do you have to wait for the PR card. pls advice.

Thanks.

HEY Y'ALL
I just wanted to say thank you for all the support one more time.
I just had my landing interview one hour ago and it went fine.
I was pretty nervous actually but it ended up being fine:D

they basically asked:
_ is all the information in the form right?
_ have you been asked to leave canada ?
_ have you had problem with the police in canada or in your country?

Then I signed the paper and BANG... landed.

they said it'd take 6-8 weeks for the PR card to arrive.(of course)

But anyways. I guess Im landed:D
thank you guys so much for everything.
I couldn've done without you all.

Cheers

You will have to wait for your PR card to apply for your permanent SIN; Service Canada doesn't accept COPR.

If you have a temporary SIN you can use it until you are able to apply for your permanent one.

Landed!!!

We applied September 2009, I sponsored my husband. We were transferred to local office March 2010. In July 2010 we hand delivered additional evidence of our continuing relationship. December 2010 we received our FOSS notes, which did not note that the documentation had been added to our file. No BF date, not much info except that security clearances were passed in February 2010.

May 2011, we sent additional evidence by registered mail. June 2011 we got AIP, and applied for a work permit, which has not yet been received. However, earlier this week we got a phone call asking if we would be available to land today!!

Finally, done the process. Now as soon as that PR card comes hubby can get a SIN and start working!!

We are so relieved to finally be done!

Wow Justina!! I'm soooo happy for you that you are finally done :D Congrats to you and your hubby... Good luck finding a job!!
